2021 Belgian Grand Prix - Predicament Predictions!

Hope you've all enjoyed your summer break because soon the pain will be back. And by pain I mean F1. The Predicament Predictions is back for the second half of the season to guess race by race what we think the order is going to be come Sunday evening. The closer you are to the reality, the more points you get. It's as simple as that. We make our predictions by filling in the blank template below:

There is always a point for the funniest race title you can come up with. The Minor League Premiership for this round contains Nikita Mazepin, Mick Schumacher, Yuki Tsunoda. You can also use double points at any time you like :)




What shall I predict? Maybe something exciting perhaps. Let's say a Norris win, because why not. After all, it's been more than enough time since Hamilton and Verstappen rammed each other off the track.

Pretty much. In the Discord, the topic of what to do about that complex after the Hubert crash and all the other recent highly dangerous impact came up. Everyone's ideas on what to do were awful, by the way, except for mine.

The Hubert crash was mentioned when I read about the W Series qualifying crash. You're all right, it seems something needs to happen.

It took a little time, but the results are here. The stewards have spent as many as three minutes deciding on what to do regarding the real-life farce of Belgium, and considering the half-points results of a week and a half ago, we (read: I) have therefore decided to give out half-points for Predicament Predictions as well.

Luckily nobody used double points at this track, as that would have been very unfortunate. In first place was dr-baker who did very well in guessing correctly the 1-3 of Verstappen and Hamilton, and guessing Russell in the top 10. This is actually his first win of the season! The gaps were obviously very low between all the runners this time, meaning that very little occurred in the way of championship positions. Aislabie did the important thing and kept their lead over the looming frontrunners with a strong second place finish.

In spite of the fact that he won in Hungary, almost none of you guessed Esteban Ocon would be in the top 10, which I personally thought was really funny :D


How does this affect the overall standings, with 12 out of 23 (or 22, who knows) races done.
