2021 Turkish Grand Prix - Predicament Predictions!

Welcome back to sunny (pending) old Turkey, where we return to the Istanbul circuit that divides so many of our opinions. With only 17 races in the championship remaining, how will the standings look when we're done here, and the end of the season draws ever closer? Let's find out.

It was not a sunny day in Turkey, but it did prove one with an interesting result for our participants. IceG used double points to their advantage, thankfully faring better than RAK had in Russia. Londoner came in with their strongest points finish of the year on 21.5 points, putting them significantly closer to the top of the standings. One can't help but wonder how they would be doing if they hadn't missed a race!

Frogfoot9013, in their roulette of must-win race titles, finally got it right in Istanbul, and for that deserves the bonus point. Aerond was so late I had to give half-points.

What it means for the championship is that Aislabie keeps their lead, but as we suspected the new threat is mario. Having not used their double points yet, mario threatens to take a strong lead should a good result come their way. However, mario was late in submitting for this race, and a similar mistake in future could cost them valuable points overall. Beware, people!

After this race, with six remaining rounds, we will start mathematically eliminating runners from the standings :shock: It's getting real as we get closer to the championship finale.
