I just scrapped into the top 50 posters, currently at Number 49. One day, I will get there. Especially seeing as Coops hasn't been on here for ages for some reason, and with Carlos and Hemo both AWOL.

I would just make the grid. 23rd, so that's probably HRT. No, as it's F1 Rejects forum, Phoenix and CarlosFerreira will take HRTs. I will be Red Bull #2 driver.

So working my way back, i'd be Toro Rosso's number 2 driver. Not sure who would count as that though.

DNQ.

There were 28 starters at the 1956 British GP (with Moss on pole and Jack Brabham in last place), so that might be the last time that there were more than 26 starters on the grid.

DanielPT wrote:I would be Renault number 2 driver, replacing Petrov! I like that spot! :D

Hold on, how would that work? If I currently have the 10th highest post count, that would correspond to my position (as Petrov has car No. 10). If we were to directly transfer the numbers across (i.e. Phoenix, with the highest total, corresponding to Vettel, CarlosFerreira to Webber etc.), No. 15 would be Paul di Resta. Alternatively, if we go by the FIA's system, where everybody below 12th is shifted down by one place to avoid having to use No. 13, that would equate to car No. 16, which I'm sure some will recognise as Kobayashi's number.

I am not sure of how it works, but according to this:

We seem to be following the 2011 Constructor standings (which appears to be, assuming redbulljack14 is the number 2 Toro Rosso), so you, Mario, would be Toro Rosso number 1 aka Sebastian Buemi.

Thanks for clearing that up (though it still seems a little strange to me) - however, given that we've been discussing the possibility of Buemi being replaced, I only hope that I don't suffer the same potential fate as he may...

I suppose it depends how you categorise the Indy 500 races - whilst they were part of the WDC they were not technically GP's, and I had assumed that the question related only to what we would identify as a Formula 1 race instead of a World Drivers Championship race.

That had originally crossed my mind, hence why I didn't mention it sooner, but it was still a grid that counted towards F1...

About the last time there were 27 cars on the grid, all of you, even mario (and that's really rare) are wrong. The last time was the 1986 Portuguese GP, when Allen Berg qualified 27th but was allowed to start the race regardless.
