TOP 10 CIRCUITS THAT F1 NEVER USED (And I would have liked to see at some moment, although not necessarily nowadays)

10.Elkhart Lake

Image

Beautiful surroundings, enough straights and fast flowing sections could have made this a very interesting track for F1 to visit in the 90's.

9.Mugello

Image

This track has all the needed ingredients for good racing; but it's probably too hard to grow alongside Monza

8.Autopolis

Image

Victim of the fever from some Japanese tycoons to build tracks in the middle of nowhere (just see TI Circuit), only this is the one that F1 should have gone to in the mid-90's, and it would have been a blast of a race there.

7.Laguna Seca

Image

Yes, too short and would lack overtaking opportunities more than the Hungaroring, but, sincerely, who hasn't wanted to watch an F1 car through the corkscrew?

6.Road Atlanta

Image

This short but underrated North American track features a great esses section with elevation changes hardly to be found anywhere else.

5.Potrero de los Funes

Image

Incredible circuit surrounding a lake that is fast, dangerous, and have everything set for exciting racing from the start.

4.Brno

Image

Why F1 has never visited this track in Central Europe is beyond me. It's long, fast and the run through the forest make for one of the best visits of the MotoGP calendar year after year while F1 fans have to watch cars running around the Hungaroring to get one good race in 25 years.

3.Bathurst

Image

I hope this is not the last time an F1 car goes round Mount Panorama. No need for explanation here

2.Macau

Image

Yes, too narrow and dangerous for modern F1 standards, but this track has to be the ultimate street track. It also has the hairpin that makes Loews look like a motorway straight.

1.La Sarthe

Image

Just because it would be too great :D

Best top 10 drivers ive seen since following our great sport:

1. M.Schumacher
2. Hakkinen
3. Vettel
4. Alonso
5. Hamilton
6. Coulthard
7. Villeneuve
8. Fisichella
9. Button
10. Webber

Reasons: Schu dominant, Hakkinen could match him in MS prime. Vettel cant go past, Alonso most complete driver, Hamilton ultra quick on his day, Coulthard, generally consistent bit unlucky at times. Villeneuve great in his prime, put a few good races at BAR, Fisichella, did very well in late 90's and setup Benetton/Renault for its future success, Button came at age in late 00s very consistent and Webber for his non stop commitment. I left out Hill as IMO was in best car at right time.
Miserable Thierry (Boutsen) staggers round mostly on ten cylinders (out of 12) with no clutch, low oil pressure, bad brakes and no grip to finish tenth, 3 laps down...

(Murray Walkers review of Boutsen's Brazil 1991 race).

Thats a point these days!

5.Kauhsen (We all know the story)

While I'd like to see that, too, Schumacher has a notorious lack of interest in American racing. He also thinks that ovals are too dangerous for him. Besides, which IndyCar team can even afford Schumacher at the moment? :(

Forgot about the Pratt&Whitney turbine engine then that Lotus ran for a couple of races in 1971.
My friend's USB drive spoiled, spilled tea on her laptop and had a bird poo in her hand.

What did she do in her past life to deserve this?

My top 10 Radiohead songs:

10. House of Cards (In Rainbows)
9. How to Disappear Completely (Kid A)
8. Sail to the Moon (Hail to the Thief)
7. The Bends (The Bends)
6. Codex (The King of Limbs)
5. Where I End and You Begin (Hail to the Thief)
4. Optimistic (Kid A)
3. Electioneering (OK Computer)
2. Karma Police (OK Computer)
1. Reckoner (In Rainbows)

Pyramid Song just misses out...I guess I wasn't a huge fan of Amnesiac. And Pablo Honey was an ok album...it's just quite average though.
