Marbula One

Post by Psyclepath »

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtsQ_Uy ... nmPwvjKt_s Marble racing has become my rather disturbing addiction. I'm hyped for the next race, at the Thunderbolts' (best team!) Short Circuit.

Not going to lie, this is absolutely incredible, and I recommend everyone to see it.

What have I just watched?

I have to wonder how long it'll be before Liberty Media's lawyers come knocking. Bernie, as we all know, would have done it already. This is not a problem that International Belt Sander Drag Racing has ever faced, nor should it ever.

That exists? Whether it does or not, I would love to see that!

Certainly does, and it was featured as They Think It's All Over's "bizarre sport of the week" section. The competitors are deadly serious about it, too - they'll modify their sanders in any way allowable by the rules, which I'd expect to mean motors that give the best power-to-weight ratio coupled with just the right sandpaper for maximum grip but minimum drag.

This is a very short clip of what to expect:

The creator Jelle and his team actually contacted Liberty Media beforehand and got the greenlight to go ahead with the Marbula One name :)

Reckon Thunderbolts will lift the host's curse this weekend? Green Ducks kind of did it last time at Greenstone, finishing 9th.
