You know, if I was Phoenix, I'd be pretty pissed off right about now as, if my understanding of the storyline is correct, he's just lost his star driver for ALL of next year through no fault of his own.

Ah, but she signed a contract which would've, if Mr McAllister played his cards right, had a clause forbidding spontaneous pregnancy. :P

But for some reason I doubt he was that clever

In RWRS, yeah, but counting all canon series, I'd say Daniel Moreno is probably the qualifying specialist to rule them all. 25 poles from 65 starts is pretty damn impressive - Vettel in real-life picked up 28 in the same time-span counting from the start of 2009, and that includes his all-conquering 2011.

And I tell you you will fare just as well (just as bad) as this season - although you could help yourself if you bring back Gary Cameron from retirement.

Anything is better than Prospec's 2016 lineup. Mestolio-Macklin isn't exactly a world beating combo.

Pretty much. I know enough about Crammond's GP series to realise my knowledge barely scratches the surface of what there is to know.

Seriously though, give me 20 minutes and I'll have a proper look at it.

EDIT: Having applied my non-existant knowledge and dodgy maths skills to the situation, I can sum up your situation in two words: You're bathplugged. But don't worry, so are a lot of other people. I can send you the unsummarised version later on if you want.

Well, someday I intend to have the first Uruguayan driver in RWRS with Santiago Guglielminpietro...

I also have the only Ghanian driver in RWRS on my books; RoLFS champion Marcel Agyemang-Badu.

Baker hasn't said anything official yet, but he's been dropping the most obvious hints for ages now. I agree with you there, it's kinda unfair that she gets pregnant leaving you right in the lurch.

Depends what contract you agreed on with dr-baker Phoenix. If you can prove you made an agreement for Pippa Mann to drive for Aeroracing in 2016, then dr-baker is obliged to allow her to race, or provide an alternative.

Really, baker, you should've told Phoenix straight away what you were planning to do with Pippa Mann. It's totally and completely unfair that he's getting screwed like this, at this stage in the silly season when pretty much all good alternatives are already signed elsewhere. It's perfectly fine by me to have Pippa be pregnant and thus unable to race in 2016 - as long as Phoenix was informed in plenty of time, which is clearly not the case here. As it is, it's kind of a dick move, man.

There is a reason why Mad Uncle Melrose swore many an off-season ago to NEVER sign any driver that has any connection with Foxdale whatsoever.

And I'd probably avoid Steele myself, as he'll be burned badly due to having crap machinery for the first three years of his career. Which just goes to show that this new experience thing probably won't work out too well for many drivers whose name isn't Mark Dagnall.

Oh come on, with all the storylines surrounding her earlier in the year, could you blame Pippa for wanting to settle down and have a quiet time away from the spotlight for a while? And as for the pregnancy, it has not been confirmed yet, so...

As for my drivers' line-ups for next year, Douglas Mann seems confirmed at HRT, Martin McFry at Foxdale, Ben Fleet and Pippa Mann TBC. If Aeroracing really want her to continue next year, that can be arranged, but I thought she was originally only on a one-year contract. But if she stays there, it would mean Ben Fleet to Foxdale, and all four of my drivers continue on for another year.

Man, I never realised that I was going to kick off a storm with this! And who thought it could be so hard to try and retire my drivers?!

Uhm, dr-baker, I've never stated myself that Pippa Mann's contract was going to be for a year only, and neither does anyone, so I think that's something that you've invented. I dearly want to keep her for the next season, at least. If you wanted to make Pippa pregnant, you could've told me in advance and I'd have tried to sign Tomo Kazama to try and replicate what AndreaModa managed with Rosco Vantini.

Guys, clearly we have a problem here, but it seems the deal agreed has been ambiguous so really neither Phoenix nor dr-baker are directly in the right. It is a bit of poor taste for baker to play his hand this late into the transfer period as many top drivers have already been signed. But as has been pointed out, there are options out there for Phoenix, and I'll admit I saw this announcement coming a while back so really it isn't completely unannounced.

As for a solution, I guess the two of you need to come to some sort of compromise. Perhaps that could involve sending Fleet or McFry to Aeroracing instead?

In which case you are entirely free to do what you want. To be honest, if I were in your position, I wouldn't think twice about terminating any prior agreements with Pippa Mann immediately and hiring someone else. She might be good but it's just not worth the hassle of being messed about all the time.

Do you think I care about the constant puns and articles appearing at the sundry motorsport magazines that cropped up along with our little fantasy racing world? I just want someone competent at the car. I'll reckon this is a blow and honestly I've no idea if Pippa Mann will be driving for us next season or not. But had I known it before I'd have tried my darndest to sign someone like Rhys Davies or Tomo Kazama!

I guess I'll have to write off 2016 and concentrate on 2017...

[EDIT] Hey wait a minute, is that muppet Barii Mori still available?
