Okay maybe in hindsight I don't forget those drivers then! But it's actually thanks to the former site that I found out more about them. Prior to that I wouldn't have had much of a clue, I remember when I first played 'F1 99' on the old PlayStation, and because it included substitute drivers you could race as, I wondered who this bloke called 'Sarrazin' was, obviously I know now, but back then I didn't.

But then that's just me

Paul di Resta will, like Alguersuari, become one of these over time I think. He was noted for being a consistent finisher, but in terms of results he would have one or two decent races a season. Beaten by his teammate in 2 out of 3 seasons. The one thing that may save his bacon was Spa 2013 qualifying, but that would only be for people who saw it. If luck had gone his way and he'd landed on the front row or even pole, we may be telling a completely different story. But that's one for the "What if" thread. I'll pop over there now

Quite a few actually, despite how it might appear

I have to say I find quite some profiled drivers anonymous. There's a vast difference between a slow and steady guy like Badoer, a smasher like Foitek or Ide, a complete numbskull (paydriver) like Deletraz or a actually decent driver like McNish (although I'm not sure if he was profiled?)

The last type of rejects are the most forgettable.

It's partly why F1 Rejects existed in the first place. So they can be remembered for what they achieved, no matter how good or bad they really were

Viantonio Liuzzi! Only reminded of him through reading Chrashgate jr's wiki page.

De Matta ended up leading the Brittish GP after that mad irish priest( an actual mad one and not 1 from Craggy Island)ran onto the track.... so not forgettable

Paul di Resta for me. I literally forgot he drove for Force India recently. Petrov I forgot about as well.

I totally forgot some Ingo Hoffmann bloke raced in F1. His best finish was 7th surprisingly at Interlagos.
Not to mention he won Stock Car Brasil 12 times...

Also forgot about a certain Wilson Fittipaldi.

Di Resta is forgettable for me too, despite how much BBC creamed themselves over him. He's the most average Formula 1 driver of all time.

He's really mediocre and I'm tired of everyone telling me that he didn't get a true chance. He did. He was just nothing special. Also, always came off as a bit of a dick.

Re-watching some old season reviews.

Gianni Morbidelli, Buemi, Bourdais (I always forget he drove for STR in '08), Larini, Timo Glock and JC Bouillon.

Back on Di Resta, I do recall Brundle thinking he should drive for Ferrari, Mercedes or McLaren.

Nothing to worry about, it's a natural Belgian thing to watch other people naked. Prefferably people below 18 years old and when you either own a van, a secret basement or are a priest. I'm pretty sure Tommy is not a priest, but the other options are very plausible. Judging he is from Wallonia, it's probably the hidden basement thing.

The subject of this thread is pretty forgettable, to be honest

I keep forgetting that DC raced for McLaren past 1998. He as a driver was pretty forgettable except for Spa 1998, Adelaide 1995, Monaco when blocked by the Arrows.

That's pretty much it.

His 2001 and 2002 seasons weren't bad too, were they? He was Schumacher's main competitor in those years and not that forgettable, in my opinion. However, I don't recall him doing anything significant after Melbourne 2003 for McLaren. I had to look up whether he still drove there in 2004.

As far as I was concerned, DC was always part of the McLaren team, at least until he went to Red Bull. I'm too young to have remembered his Williams days so for me McLaren was always Coulthard/a Finnish driver until the status quo was interrupted in 2005.

I can remember so many moments when Montoya and Schumacher were jostling for position in 2001-2003, but so little from Coulthard. I mean, I really don't remember when Coulthard did something exciting which wasn't crashing. After 2005 there's just nothing I remember about the guy.

Maybe. I don't remember much of 2000 except Barrichello's win and Suzuka. I just don't remember anything DC much in a McLaren. I don't know why? I remember more Irvine in Ferrari.
