That very clip was used for the 1997 F1 intro. Shame Shannon didn't really exist as the livery on the cars wasn't too bad.

Getting your car turned upside down by a safety car, oh hang on it has happened before hasnt it?

Blaming your slow performances due to a tooth ache, oh a driver has mentioned that before, hasnt he?

(Okay, tooth ache do hurt, I know but still!)
Miserable Thierry (Boutsen) staggers round mostly on ten cylinders (out of 12) with no clutch, low oil pressure, bad brakes and no grip to finish tenth, 3 laps down...

(Murray Walkers review of Boutsen's Brazil 1991 race).

Thats a point these days!

A race filled with a lot of attrition that the only cars to truly finish the race are those on the podium...oh hang on one time moment.....

Okay, how about 1 quarter of the drivers falling out on the first lap...Hang on,same race...
My friend's USB drive spoiled, spilled tea on her laptop and had a bird poo in her hand.

I take your pathetic one quarter and raise you with Over half the field, all in separate accidents to boot.

What about getting lapped before you've crossed the starting line while your car is still running perfectly fine?

Did happen once to my knowledge:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dw-F0KK5SZI (at 1:30)

Or getting lapped twice in the same lap while your car is still running perfectly fine?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvFjBwj9I-s (at 4:20)

Admittedly these things did occur back in the old days, but it's extremely unlikely that this would occur in modern motor racing. The first one occurred in a race where there were 106 cars were racing on a 1 mile track, which would never happen today, and the second would not occur either, because speed differences in cars and drivers aren't big enough today, at least in major series's.

Being black flagged for going too slow. It happens pretty frequently but I can assure you it's never been done in the history of Formula 1. *is shown a profile on the site* Then again maybe it has been done.

A race leader coming into the pits, crashing the car to the pit entrance and never admitting it was his own fault...

Now, seriously, a driver making a mistake (like taking an escape road by accident) and leading a couple of drivers to the same mistake.
Tread lightly in ARWS. Every decision might be your last.
