A Rejectful 2012 Poem

Post by whatisdeletrazdoing »

The F1 world was given a treat,
The 2012 season can't be beat.

Fernando Alonso gave quite a thrill,
But it was Vettel who celebrated in Brazil.

Kimi came back and gave us a wooing,
Leave him alone, he knows what he's doing.

Grosjean was labeled "The First Lap Nutcase,"
It's rare to see him finish a race.

Hamilton was fast in his last year at McLaren,
His hopes at Mercedes appear quite barren.

Button's year was all but consistent,
The Championship for him was far too distant.

Rosberg and Mercedes finally won,
While Schumacher's career is finally done.

In Spain Maldonado led lap after lap,
But the rest of his season was loads of crap.

To Kamui we must say sayonara,
His hopes for next year are as dry as Sahara.

Di Resta collapsed at the end of the year,
But managed somehow to save his career.

Toro Rosso remained too mundane,
Their lack of performance is tough to explain.

Caterham promised they'd move up in the pack,
But a lack of speed kept them at the back.

For Marussia tenth place seemed so near,
But Caterham pipped them just as they feared.

This year was the last for poor HRT,
They struggled to finish each Grand Prix.

The 2012 season was a disappointment to none,
There is no spectacle like Formula One.

...except the Tifosi.

We should make this an official F1 Rejects Poetry Thread (named after... has there been a similar literary genius in F1? No, I don't mean Taki Inoue...) if anyone else can contribute.
James Allen, on his favourite F1 engine of all time:
"...the Life W12, I can't describe the noise to you, but imagine filling your dustbin with nuts and bolts, and then throwing it down the stairs, it was something akin to that!"

And everybody else who didn't want Vettel to win again.
Sebastian Vettel wrote:If I was good at losing I wouldn't be in Formula 1.
Everything's great.
I'm not surprised about anything.

And Kobayashi fans.

Although that could fall more in the region of the 2013 pre-season rather than 2012 proper.

They weren't the world's most competent team,
In fact, to be believed, their results must be seen,

L, O, L, A, Lola!
