Glad to see that the decision to hire Blencowe is paying off...
Pines Racing will spend £45000 to enter Bentwood in Brands Hatch, Donnington and Birmingham.

Oulton Park Saturday Race 5 Qualifying Results
Mat Jackson takes his first pole of the season as he aims to extend his championship lead, Stefano Valli will start alongside. The main surprise of qualifying however is newcomer, Martyn Bell in his Geoff Steel BMW making it to 3rd on the grid! I'd be surprised if he can keep it up there all race though. Alex Figge also surprises by making the top ten while Matt Halliday and Toni Roukonen manage to find some speed in their respective hunk of junks and drag themselves solidly into the top 20.

Hell yes, time to consolidate that lead. I just hope Blencowe stays where he is...

BTCDS Oulton Park Saturday Race 5 Results
Not alot of change at the front but the race was interrupted by two safety cars, the first for Fiona Leggate who binned her BMW at Druids. Then on the restart Mike Doble and Henry Taylor collided coming out of Old Hall. Taylor's 307 was pitched into the fence, spreading debris across the track, both cars would be able to continue but Taylor would be off the pace for the final few laps after the second restart. Finally Adrian Churchill and Alex Figge both pitted a few laps from the end for no apparent reason, tactics to get a better starting spot for Sunday's reverse grid race perhaps?

Alan needs to pick up his pace, or Jackson's gonna get too far in front. Bentwood's doing okay. Wonder what he could do in a half decent car...

He has a half-decent car, that's why he's won twice. Jackson's just too awesome for him.

BTCDS Oulton Park Sunday Race 6 Results
Think we may have had the longest green flag period of the weekend in the middle portion of this race.
Anyway, pole sitter Alex Figge immediately lost the lead as Henry Taylor gets a great start from 3rd to go to the front ahead of Adrian Churchill who started from 2nd. On lap two Figge would throw away a potential good result by stuffing his BMW into the tyres at Druids, bringing out the first safety car.
On lap 5, Taylor lead the restart from Churchill, Toni Roukonen and Sam Hempsall, the latter would soon drop to the back after a couple of offs as he struggled to control his Lexus. Churchill soon took the lead from Taylor on lap 8 while further behind Stefan Hodgetts and James Pickford were working their way through the field from towards the back of the grid. Hodgetts caught Churchill with three laps left and was lining up for an attack when the SC was called out again. This time for a collision between Chris Egginton and Melanie Healey. Egginton's engine and let go heading into Cascades and was rear ended by Healey who seemingly hadn't seen the Civic thanks to the crest of the hill heading down into the corner. Since the SC stayed out until the checkered flag, Adrian Churchill was able to hold onto his first victory of the season.
Championship leader, Mat Jackson will be relieved to see that neither Alan Blencowe nor Gordon Shedden were able to make much progress and thus only took a small bite out of Jackson's lead as he missed out on competing after his main series crash the day before.

VIP Petfoods Racing will buy one small aerodynamics and one small engine upgrade for Halliday.
Also, will I be able to enter the car for the Cadwell 1000 with Halliday and a random paydriver as the lineup?

Given that I'm running two different cars, if I upgrade, will it affect both of them, or will I have to upgrade individually?

Yes. But there will be a pre-qualifying session to get through for the wildcards as there will be many entering.

Turns out I'll need two random paydrivers for that event, as Halliday is driving the #10 TH-L car with Larkham for that event, have just remembered I changed it on the wiki.
What paydrivers are available for the event? And can I enter the car for Spa as well?

I believe your plan was to have Halliday and Doble for Spa only, then Winterbottom and Bargwanna for Cadwell and Bournemouth. You may enter for Spa as well.

Ah, yes. About that... well, since Halliday was doing better than pretty much everyone in the known universe expected in the BTCDS, I extended his contract to two races, while also doing the same with Doble in the second car because we need the money. I was gonna announce it on here as well but I completely forgot about it

BTCDS Cadwell Park Race 7 Qualifying
Tom Boardman takes his first pole of the season from championship leader, Mat Jackson but amazingly Sam Hempsall puts the Lexus in third! Further down, Shaun Watson-Smith makes a solid debut considering the awful Alfa 147 and out-qualifies Toni Roukonen in the same car.
I wouldn't get too exited about my third place as my race pace is at least a second slower so expect me to comically plummet through the order before settling in the midfield.

BTCDS Cadwell Park Race 7 Results
Tom Boardman held on throughout the race for his first victory despite heavy pressure from Mat Jackson and Stefan Hodgetts. Though the top five remained close all race, there was little position change asides from Hempsall's predicted slide down the top ten. The Lexus driver eventually collided with Tom Onslow-Cole on lap ten while the pair battled with Tom Ferrier for 11th. The trio came out of Barn Corner threewide after Ferrier got by Hempsall on the outside while TOC attempted to get by on the inside with a rather aggressive move. This meant he was on the outside for Coppice at the other end of the start/finish straight where the two made contact and TOC was sent spinning off into the tires bringing out the safety car.
Shortly after the restart, Ferrier takes out Ben Winrow at turn 11 spinning both cars around and causing chaos behind as Lewis Carter, Michael Bentwood and Henry Taylor are all forced off in avoidance while Fiona Leggate has her own incident at the same corner, spinning off on her own. Ferrier manages to loose the least time and recovers to 13th by the end of the race.
Bad luck befell the thus-far impressive Hempsall on the next lap after having got back into the top ten thanks to the Ferrier/Winrow incident. Hempsall's Lexus ran wide coming into Charlies ending up on the dirty side of the track and unable to prevent himself from binning it in the tires. This promoted Sebastian Martino and Martyn Bell into lucky top ten finishes.
Tom Ferrier will receive two points on his license for punting off Ben Winrow. Meanwhile Tom-Onslow Cole will miss the second race after Restov were unable to repair his car on time.

Re: BTCDS 2004 - Cadwell Park Race 7 Results Up
BTCDS Cadwell Park Race 8 Results
Lewis Carter predictably won the reverse grid race as the only regular front runner starting up front. Carter managed to get by his polesitting teammate, Fiona Leggate on lap three and led the rest of the way. However Michael Bentwood also managed to sneak past Leggate at the same time and kept Carter honest throughout despite the limitations of a Vic Lee built car. Both drivers ran away with the race while Leggate held off the rest of the field, only being passed by Henry Taylor and James Pickford towards the end of the race to finish a season best 5th. She was no doubt helped by the slower Shaun Watson-Smith who did a great job to remain in the top ten with the weakest car on the grid.
Taylor managed to hold off Pickford to complete the podium as he did in the Oulton Park reverse grid while Pickford again proved to be one of the best overtakers in the series by finishing 4th from 18th on the grid. Mat Jackson was the only other Friday front runner to break the top ten from the back and in doing so increases his points lead over Gordon Shedden who could only manage to get up to 16th. Cadwell specialist, Hempsall managed a great run to pinch 12th from Matt Halliday having started from the back after disappointingly crashing out of 9th place in Friday's race, even getting by some of the faster cars thanks to them being bottled up behind Melanie Healey mid-race.
There would be no safety cars interrupting the race, a rarity in the BTCDS so far though there was a silly collision on lap 6 when Stefan Hodgetts misjudged a pass on Sebastian Martino at turn 11, shoving the Argentine into Martyn Bell's BMW, breaking the latter's rear suspension. Martino and Hodgetts both spun around in the incident and dropped to the back of the field. Hodgetts will receive three points on his license for causing an avoidable collision.

Great drive from Watson-Smith in that 147 i should have definitely put him in a better car, and well done to yourself for getting a fine 12th place

Considering how awful the Focus ST is, Halliday has done an admirable job so far this year, and will be well-placed to move up to the TH-Larkham team full-time next year when Larko steps out of the seat. We'll also stick another small chassis upgrade on the car as we get ready for the second half of the season.

With TH-Larkham planning to build their own Mondeo for 2005, VIP Petfoods Racing will expand to two cars for 2005 using one of the ex-Larkham Focus STI alongside our existing ST170. With Halliday planning to move up to replace Larkham in the TH-L team next year, we will requite two new drivers to execute our plans.
