You can take over my spot, i probably will not have the time to do this decently, so i better get out before i got the series into trouble.

Well, pycku, you heard the man. In theory everything you should need is mentioned in this thread. If you have any questions, go ahead and ask. Oh, and please give me a team owner name while you are at it. ;)

As far as the four-home-player rule is concerned, your team's new home is China (both PR and Taipei).

Chisinau Dynamos
Copenhagen Avalanche
Galway Tribesmen
Lagos Eagles
Lombardi Leoni
Lima Voyagers
Mexico Warriors
São Paulo Braves
Stockholm Syndromes
Stoke Sentinel

The teams not mentioned here may either send me their draft lists until 5 p.m. CEST or attend the draft in person.

Alright. We held the draft earlier today and here are the results. I tried to follow your plans as much as possible but I openly admit that at the end of it I was quite exhausted (this mess went on for five hours straight) so if something is wrong try to only do Voodoo below my waistline.

For now I will need to edit your teams into the game. Since RL will call me again from next week on I will take a week to do that. pycku, since you joined a bit too late to prepare your draft properly, please send me the 18 players you would like to have for your team during the week.

Alright, all squads have been edited in the post and in the game. There are two things to notice:

a) Most players have more than one position; I went with "What looks good and symmetrical" in deciding which of the positions to use. Look up your players on sofifa.com to find out what other positions your players can play in
b) The names in the squad list are the full names

***************************************

With this done, let's get down to business - two important parts of the game are now unveiled:

Free Agency

From now on until the start of the playoffs, you may sign players that are not assigned to a team yet. For that, you just name the player you want and I will run a RNG to simulate the decision process. Note that the limit of 85 overall from the draft does not apply to Free Agents.

Note: Because I made a mistake, every team that does not have at least 17 field players (i.e. every team except the Kölner Adler, the Stockholm Syndroms and the Mexico Warriors) must sign one additional player that is not a goalkeeper . That is why every team has gotten +€5,000,000 (or 50 overall) to the budget cap

You may also sack players during this time period. However, to avoid the Establishing Draft turning into a mockery, you are only allowed to release up to three players during the first season. You cannot release a player if that would lead to your team having less than 17 field players or less than 1 goalkeeper.

Trading

From now until your team has completed its 16th regular season game, you can trade with other teams. A trade is, to quote Wikipedia, "a sports league transaction involving an exchange of players' contracts or draft picks between teams. Cash is another commodity that may be packaged together with contracts or draft picks to complete a trade."

Basically that means you can switch players between two or more teams. Furthermore you can also trade for cap space, i.e. instead of sending a player over to another team you just use the remainder of your budget to pay for the other team's players if the team is above the limit.

A trade will be put in the game once you announce and confirm it in this thread. To avoid everything becoming too messy, you are ordered to use the IRC chat, forum mails or the telephone to talk about trades.

***************************************

You can also now send me your squad's strategy per mail if you wish to do so. Once the Syndey Strikers have a complete squad, the regular season will begin.

Because I thought that FIFA 11 requires 17 players in total on a team, not 17 field players.

Your proposed players:

Erik Peters - 81 per-cent chance of signing: RNG says 15, Peters signs.
Lucas Digne - 57 per-cent chance of signing: RNG says 71, Digne refuses the offer.

You now have all the players you need, but you are 40 overall points (or €4,000,000) over the cap. You can amend this by trading away players to other teams or sacking one of your goalkeepers.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport wrote:Leoni coy on Cavani transfer rumours

Lombardia Leoni have been coy on rumours that star striker Edinson Cavani is available for purchase. Club owner Alessandro Linari spoke to Rai Radio 1 about the upcoming FRWS season and fielded questions about the team's transfer policy.

"Cavani? He is a key player, but he can leave for the right price," he stated. "A critical part of club management in FRWS is complying to FFP, or the league doesn't allow you to compete in the playoffs. Doing so is necessary for a club of our stature. So, I would say, if the right kind of deal comes along, I am certainly interested.

Lombardia Leoni will attempt to sign David Villa from free agency.

Cavani is available for an under 70 rated striker + cash. Giroud is for sale as cash only.

Yes, you can still sign players. Don't forget to get your team in the green budget, otherwise you will suffer tremendously the next season.
