I'll be in the land of Shinji (the forumite, not the driver) over the entire extended weekend, and I will not return here until I've seen the race in its entirety (and it looks like I'll have to do so with German commentary... dictionary on hand!) Even so, I'd better put some predictions up...

2014 "No! No! NO! Not another POPstation under another unimaginative name! I'd rather have a tin of All Day Breakfast..." Grand Prix

1. Rosberg (out for revenge...)
2. Hamilton (...he gets it, too, if not by a huge margin)
3. Ricciardo (sponsored by new, improved UltraBrite)
4. Hülkenberg (as for one Nico, ditto the other)
5. Vettel (Daniel is faster than you, can you confirm you understood that message?)
6. Massa (he wants one over his old team-mate)
7. Pérez (as for one Nico's team mate, ditto the other)
8. Bottas (would have been higher, only he goes rallying for a bit)
9. Magnussen (already wondering what's going wrong at Woking)
10. Vergne (handing the Golden Papaya to the Russkie by a few car lengths)

Pole: Rosberg
Fastest Lap: Rosberg
First Retirement: Gutiérrez (still slightly traumatised at the sight of a black, forked-nosed car in his mirrors)
ROTR: Ferrari (six engines, no points)
IIDOTR: The Hülk (after an epic 12-lap with Vettel to keep him at bay)
DBTMOTR: Button, the only Merc-engined runner out the points. There's no grip, y'see...
MLP: The Dane
DNQ: LET dnq=NOT PI

(Note: NOT PI was a memory-saving trick for the unexpanded ZX81, using only two bytes where the figure 0, held as a floating-point variable, would have used seven. Most of you are not old enough to know what a ZX81 is.)
James Allen, on his favourite F1 engine of all time:
"...the Life W12, I can't describe the noise to you, but imagine filling your dustbin with nuts and bolts, and then throwing it down the stairs, it was something akin to that!"
