Yeah -- now that I've gotten a lot of life stuff sorted out, there's a good chance the entire rest of the season bar Spa could be done this weekend.

Chicagoland is in practice as I type this -- a review video will follow since not many people are on when I'm available to do the races live.

10 minutes into practice, these are the speeds;

1 5 Fidrik Arnason 29.520 29.967 / 180.198 11
2 17 Manny Geinhart, Jr. 29.601 30.183 / 178.909 12

Due to other committments, Voeckler will not be returning to FAR Horizon after this weekend. Instead, he'll be replaced by Argentine driver Gonzalo Solari, provided he isn't racing elsewhere on any given weekend.

RTSS is not listed as going to Spa in the wiki. So I don't know which of the two weekends the RWRS circus goes to Spa the race is at.

If it's the first weekend, Darren Older Jr drives the #28. If it's the second weekend, Giovanni Roda drives the #28.

"We think Jancker is a good choice for our team and signing him at this stage should give us more than enough time to prepare him for the challenges of oval racing," the representative was quoted.

I'm sorry, but I thought Jancker had a drive with the Henri Racing Team in the ACO LMC? Not that schedules will conflict, but if they do...

Well, I had to stop watching 14 minutes into the race video before I left for school and I only found out that Grandmaison, even with a large anount of danage, scored our first points the whole season!

ESPN wrote:Henri: Duck Should Enter a Demolition Derby

Henri Racing Technologies boss Jean-Phillipe Henri has called for Oscar Duck III, who finished 14 laps down on pure pace at the Rejectrucks Super Series race at Chicagoland Speedway, to be banned from the series, with immediate effect.

"What else can I f***ing say?" he told reporters after the race.

"(Oscar) Duck is obviously a clueless, mindless, completely selfish bastard on the racetrack with no regards to anyone's safety. Horizon Motorsport only entered thanks to our Virgin sponsorship brawl, but his drining not only effected us, but he nearly screwed over everyone today.

"My say is that if he wants to be a mindless bastard he may as well enter a demolition derby."

Clément Grandmaison was having a simply stunning debut until the point when, yes, Oscar Duck stayed on the racing line and slammed Grandmaison and Quinton Vos into the outside wall. He still managed to finish 9th, Henri's first points of the season, but he was not at all pleased with Oscar Duck.

"My opinion of Oscar Duck is that he is actually Oscar Suck," Grandmaison said.

"The whole race saw more of him than anyone else but (Jackie) Gardner, and it was for nothing good. He ruined my race. He ruined (Quinton) Vos's race. He held people up to the point it was no longer 'rejectful' and simply became the dumbest drive in a race I have ever witnessed in any way, shape, or form.

"As I am one who wishes to see clean driving, and am one who prefers everyone to be as safe as possible, I therefore am calling for Duck to be banned, and I want it effective immediately.

"That was easily the most rejectful motorsport entry since Mastercard Lola."

Henri Racing Technologies has now scored their first points thanks to Grandmaison, with 2 now on the board for the team. The team are ecstatic about this change of fortunes after 4 races of failure, but they firmly believe Grandmaison had the pace and wit to win.

Yeah, he's right. Let's put this down an...aherm...administrative error, on the part of Jancker's management? :D

The only drivers I can offer you instead are Andraz Velikonja and...well, I think that's it, honestly. Given his performance for FAR Horizon...I'm not sure you'd want to take him :P

FAR Horizon wanted to kick our asses at Henri Racing Technologies, but they came nowhere near us. I think Velikonja is decetn considering he was the only driver in their camp besides Benoit Voeckler to keep it clean and out of almost everyone's way. I'd say Velikonja did okay. Pkus, the SHP trucks were underpowered anyway.

Alternatively... joining an existing team is still an option for one race. You could join Bloom's team, but why on earth you'd want to is another question in and of itself...

I could make up a team for a one-off appearance and then have them never show up again, if that would interest you. Those kinds of things used to happen in NASCAR for quite some time.

The next race, Lime Rock Park, will be run either tonight or tomorrow.

There's also the option of driving a Farmy car, if that suits you :P

One-off entrants for Lime Rock Park:

#8 - Bosevic
#34 - Kerr
#35 - Cockburn
#36 - Martin
#96 - Duck, III

Notes:

- As far as I know (meaning, what's on the Wiki page), Lime Rock Park will be the last race for the #99 truck.
- Races 7 and 8 will be run on the same day -- meaning, when I finish running Martinsville, I'll go run Montmagny.

If it's the first weekend, Darren Older Jr drives the #28. If it's the second weekend, Giovanni Roda drives the #28.

I seem to recall intending to have the RTSS Spa Festival on the first week, but forgetting to post it. Either way, it will be a non-championship race. I'll post entry requirements in this thread when it comes time to do so. Promise. :D

Henri Racing Technologies wish to enter Clément Grandmaison into the Lime Rock round after his heroics in Chicago as long as that's okay. If not, he replaces Kankaanpää in the #42.

If the #28 can still elbow its way into the Lime Rock entry list, Darren Older Jr will be racing it. Roda is away on GTRWC duty.

Didn't see either of these posts in time. Grandmaison can be entered in all events after this. The 28 ran with Roda as the listed driver but it's not like he did anything of substance, anyway.

Hot damn, we nearly struck gold! And Kankaanpää finally proves he can drive a truck into the top 10 without other DSQs helping him!

The race pace wasn't there this time. It was a great race for us as we didn't need a one off to score points. This is a great feeling! :D

Having Clément in the 84 truck for the final rounds should help out the team a lot.

OK, in that case, I need a retcon. GTRWC was running at exactly the same time. Roda can't have done Lime Park as a result. Will have to change the result to it have been Darren Older Jr in the car.

Aight, no big deal. The 28 went out on like lap 1 anyway.

For the Spa Weekend of Epic...

Trucks entered for only that race, use the same entry criteria that's in the first post in this thread, but to avoid confusing me (because sometimes I get careless) make all the text red. Trucks that have already run a race will get number priority.

For a truck that has already run a race, just the following will do:

Code: Select all

Driver Name
Nationality: (Durr durr durr)
Truck Number: (Use the same as the regular season)
Team: (Same team name please.)

Soo...

David Bloom
Nationality: American
Truck Number: 44
Team: Bloom Family Racing

As far as Martinsville/Montmagny are concerned...

- Truck 84 added to the field in place of the 99 truck for the rest of the season.
- Roda in the 28 for Martinsville, Older Jr. in it for Montmagny.
- David Bloom still sucks. We still love him anyway.
- Using the default Martinsville, and Montmagny is an unknown. As usual, whatever happens... happens!

One-offs:

#34 - Kerr
#35 - Cockburn
#36 - Martin
#96 - Duck, III

Will the canon date be September 9-11 or Sept 14-18? Makes a difference to who I'd be running.

Eeeh, first week, because I already typed in 9/9 for the date in RPM and can't be bothered to change it. I don't think it should have any serious effect, it's not like RTSS requires different driver ratings or anything.

OK, let's stick Darren Older Jr in the 2nd IBR car for Spa.

DRT are interested in running Kazama in the 17 truck at the round in Spa, since Manny Geinhart Jr will be leaving the team and returning to NASCAR following Chicago.

Just to make sure this does not get lost for the Spatastic Spectactular.

I read this at Spastic Spectacular. Which, given the form of most of the drivers in RTSS, isn't far off the mark
