I blew it, there's no other way to see it. The plan was simple: stopping late and then, charge. The setup for the race was balanced, and after the pitstop, the car simply flew. I want to apologise to all the team, since this was all my responsability

Yeah, we run into some issues. Our top speed wasn't enough to climb more, but the reliability and handling of the car allow me a top 10. It's a shame what happened to Hayato, but that's racing.

Because you never sent the points allocation for your drivers. I sent an email to all team owners on April 8th with the points allocation for each driver and never got yours back. This points allocation was compulsory to fulfill and as a result your team got banned from the championship.

I think the two issues you have are. It's after the second race, so obviously you did not pay attention to this until now, your last post in the thread was back on the 10th of Janurary and also Aerond did post this....

Just sent every team owner the driver points allocation, please get back to me with your choices within the deadline :)

A sensible person would have thought I've got nothing, lets email Aerond or post something in here. You were in the forums several times from this post until the deadline, so it's hard to be sympathetic as obviously you entered the team and ignored it until now. Granted between Jan and March there were no posts but it was in the ASMF forum so any posts would have shoved the FRENCH thread onto the first page.

I had this problem with you in my old management series; have you changed the email address that your PMs go to?

I have to say, relying on the PM system for essential information is a very bad idea.

This installation of phpBB is corrupt. We know it is. We've seen it is. But we can't do anything about it until a web admin (i.e. none of us lot) can do a reinstall. Whatever mechanics are involved in sending the PMs, is broken. They literally do not arrive half of the time. I've seen it myself time and time again. They fail, but the pingback of the failure to send message goes to the forum rather than your own email, so there's no way to know if it worked or not.

For example, this was actually a blessing for me. F1RWRS. I had accepted my fate with the Lancia engine and accepted, via the PM system. And yet...Aerond never recieved that message. It failed to send, for whatever reason. That blessing in disguise allowed me to nab the Renault engines. And the rest is history...

Long story short: The forum mail system is unreliable and shouldn't be depended on for anything.

We do have an infinite number of formularejects.com email addresses which could be forwarded to any email address. So maybe this could be a way to get around the broken Forum email system?

Could do yeah. Doesn't sound too difficult. But it becomes an issue if some people don't want to play ball in regards to email addresses.

I obviously received an email confirmation saying that the message to andrew was sent on time. I too don't like to rely on PMs, but this is something that couldn't be done in public and I had no other ways of reaching andrew. The PM system worked this time as every other team owner received theirs and I received a proper answer within the required deadline, but I too decided to post on the forum in case not everybody received theirs, which is also something I'm putting into practice every time I use the PM system, just in case somebody not receiving theirs. To me there's enough evidence andrew never cared to check his email neither this thread so the absence of his team is 100% justified.

Anyway, if you think we can do better than the current PM system, I think we should open a thread elsewhere and set up whatever solution we care to agree about.

It was a complete joke - the cars are not capable of handling an oval at all - we saw this easily from the huge crash that Pierre had a couple laps before my incident. The officals did nothing about the debris that was on track as a result of it, and then to top things off I had some blind idiot who doesn't understand the concept of looking in your mirrors when you're rejoining the race pull right up in front of me and give me no time to avoid him or anything, so my car breaks and I lose a good championship opportunity. Pierre St. Laurent wrote: All things considered, I was pretty fortunate to have escaped with the injuries I had. Six months of rehabilitation, a smashed wrist and a concussion are certainly inconvenient, but I'm still alive at the very least; I suppose that's what's really important in the end. I'm just really sorry that I'll be out for so long, and that I wasn't able to pick up points for the team today. I'll be looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of a racing car as soon as I'm physically capable!

With regard to the incident with Melrose, I really can't remember all that much to be frank. All I can recall is that a blur suddenly swept across the front of my car as I was passing the pit exit, which was followed by a terrible jolt. Everything went black shortly afterwards. I haven't seen the video replay, so I won't comment any further on the accident, but I think the governing body needs to review this carefully and make the necessary changes so that this never happens again.

David Baldwin wrote: Well, it was certainly an eventful race today. My best wishes to Pierre St. Laurent; that was a terrible accident and all of CWG Data Collection wish him a speedy recovery. We, along with the other teams and the governing body, certainly have a responsibility to review the viability of ovals in this series and to prevent similar accidents from occurring again.

It was another case of terrible luck for us today. Stan lost control and crashed out fairly early on; we'll be reviewing the telemetry to pinpoint precisely where and why the accident occurred. Alberto, as always, put in a tremendous performance to dominate the race all the way up to lap 76, when a still unidentified technical issue put him out of the race. Again, we'll be meticulously reviewing our data to try and resolve our reliability issues.

The positive from our season thus far is that we've validated that our systems can produce a quick and competitive car; the negative is obviously that we're still a long way away from operational reliability. We'll continue toiling away at our issues; hopefully, we'll be met with some positive developments soon.

Aimée Gauthier wrote:This was a really very frustrating outcome for this race for me. I did a good qualifying lap to get pole position, and at the start of the race, it was very close between me and Diego. I knew with Cara starting from 4th that he would inevitably pass - his car is just so much quicker in the races that we can't do anything about this - so we fought each other very hard for the lead, because whoever was behind was going to lose more track position when Cara passed us. I kept passing Diego down the back straight and he would pass me down the front, and I realised that if I was going to beat Diego I needed to ensure Cara would pass him, and he was closest to us down the front straight, so one lap I instead kept behind Diego instead of passing him when I could have, then overtook down the front straight and ensured Cara followed me. Then Cara of course passed me, because of the car difference, but that ensured that I had a small buffer to Diego, which I increased over the race distance. Then, with only a few laps left, the car just stopped working and I couldn't finish. This is very frustrating - three races in a row this has happened to me when I am running in a strong position, where my race is ended because of something I can't do anything about, and now I am behind Diego in the championship when I should be beating him easily. I guess the only thing I can do is drive as I have been in the last two races and hope this stops happening.

I don't think this is entirely down to me, but regardless I will work much harder in the future so that I get the results I deserve all of the time.

David Baldwin wrote:Firstly, congratulations to both Aimee Gauthier and her Noritake Terada team; there's no doubt that they assembled the best package by some margin, and equally as little doubt regarding whether they fully deserved the championship this season. We'll certainly be aiming to challenge them on a more consistent basis next year.

Alberto's dominant victory and Stan's commendable recovery drive to seventh fully demonstrates the progress we've made over the past few months with regard to our quality control and our validation systems. We're still very far from where we need to be, but our result we achieved today and our concomitant elevation to third place in the team's championship will certainly raise morale and motivate us as we prepare for next season.
