I happen to know which race this is, but not where he finished, so I'll guess it's a mild trick question and that he retired.

Yes, it's a tricky one! He was indeed retired, around 18th place if you are using IndyCar system. I guess I didn't specify clearly that the answer should be 18th. But I'll let that go for now.

And the race? That is not questioned. Still secret :badoer:

Alrighty then!

It's well-known that Prince Bira was the Prince of Thailand. Having said that, which throne did almost-F1 driver Jorge de Bagration lay claim to until his death in 2008?

I must admit i have never heard of him but being called Jorge he sounds Spanish and Spain seems too obvious, Years ago there used to be a a Spanish Netherlands which is mainly modern day Belgium. So i am going to say Belgium

That would be Georgia. Not the state in the US, but in the Caucasus.

Right. Which person helped fund the F1 debuts of both the first ever (Leo Kinnunen) and most recent (Valtteri Bottas) Finnish F1 drivers?

I'm not sure about any links to Bottas, but for Kinnunen, I'm guessing it was the guy behind the AAW name? I don't know what his name is, though.

A fairly vague answer, but you are correct. It's Antti Aarnio-Wihuri, who owned the AAW Racing Team Leo Kinnunen drove for, and who also owns the Wihuri company which has been Bottas' sponsor for most of his career.

I'm not sure if the answer I have is the correct answer, as not even StatsF1 keeps this record. I have one answer in mind, and of course, if proven wrong, I'll accept the true correct answer. That being said:

Prior to Tiago Monteiro's 17 consecutive races finishes from the start of his career, which driver previously held the record of most race finishes from his career start?

I'm going to answer Pascal Fabre with 7 consecutive races.

Fabre is indeed the answer I have, although I'd love to be proven wrong. Fabre finished the first 7 races of 1987, compared to 6 for Stewart and Panis. All of which makes Monteiro and Chilton's records that much more impressive.

With Panis, i'd put it down to the fact that he was essentially driving a year old car, giving the team the chance to iron out any reliability problems. It's a case of history repeating itself for Ligier too, when they kept the same car for 1990, Larini's finishing record was excellent too.

Because of the sheer number of F1 drivers who have raced in DTM (there were nine in 1990 alone!), I propose that the person who names the most by 22:42 GMT on Tuesday gets the point and the right to ask the next question.

It was Pescara. The guy who was supposed to keep the green and Italian flags safe lost them, and didn't realise it until he needed one for the race start. Fortunately, a spectator happened to have a torch on him, and that was turned on to start the race.
