They have a test driver, who despite this offical role is mainly used as eye candy, but she's not even present at the team presentation, instead they use some kind of model and put her in a dress? If you ask me that is not only sexist but a slight towards her as well. If I were Jordà, I would leave the team (but of course she won't, cause I imagine she gets a nice paycheck for doing mostly nothing).
Hiring a driver for her looks rather than her talent is sexist. But I don't feel sorry for Jorda at all. She's one of the worst GP3 drivers ever, usually lapping about 5 seconds a lap slower than the top drivers. She hasn't done anything to deserve an F1 role. And if she hasn't completely lost her mind, she's aware of that.
What Renault and Jorda are doing is sending a horrible message to all girls in karting and junior formulae. There are drivers like Simona de Silvestro, with podium finishes in IndyCar, Katherine Legge, who lead the Daytona 24h with the DeltaWing before her teammate binned the car, Sabine Schmitz, who is one of the best Nordschleife specialists, but the one that gets all the attention is an abysmal driver who happens to look like a model, which earns her a meaningless "development driver" role.
