IIDOTR - Japan
IIDOTR - Japan
1. Romain Grosjean - Whilst his team mate proved once again that he shouldn't be in F1, RoGro nearly got the Haas into the points.
2. Jolyon Palmer - Outperformed K-Mags again, and did the best he could in a terrible car, I guess.

Re: IIDOTR - Japan
1. Esteban Ocon: He gets it mostly by default. Outqualified Wehrlein and finished ahead of him, the first time he was clearly the better driver throughout the weekend.
2. Car and driver reliability: Everyone finished, which I didn't expect to happen at Suzuka (although last year also had just one retirement).

Re: IIDOTR - Japan
1 - Palmer: Maybe a bit too late, but he is proving he could do a good job. Second great race in-a-row.
2 - Ocon: For beating Wehrlein fair and square.

Waiting for Lotus hiring Johnny Cecotto jr.

1. Force India
Beat Williams yet again.
2. Marcus Ericsson
Beat two McLarens, one STR, one Haas, which is not usual for Sauber driver. With less reliability for top guns, that could have been close to points.

Re: IIDOTR - Japan
1. Kvyat: much more impressive this weekend, clearly outperforming an out-of-sorts Sainz.
2. Renault: 12th and 14th actually isn't that bad on a chassis-dependent circuit like Suzuka. Good pitstops too.
HM:
Ocon: massively outperformed his teammate
Sauber: both cars beat McLaren on pace

Haas - Their brakes didn't break, but did brake, breaking a run of races where they did break but didn't brake.

1. Kasey Kahne - How did you get up in 3rd?
2. Ryan Newman - A probably desperate last attempt at keeping his seat from the much less talented Ty Dillon.
HM: Haas... I guess for not having brake issues for once.
