ALT-F3000: 1991 Season - Market Open
Welcome back to another year of the madhouse that is Formula 3000. I'll save the introduction and direct you straight to the wiki (link here) and to the spreadsheet below:
Link in case table does not work properly for you.
Existing team owners may now reclaim their teams for the 1991 season, and commence transactions for existing assets or used cars only. New team owners can claim one of the three existing teams, and do the same accordingly. The new car market will only be opened after all teams have been filled and a market opening date has been set

FIRST, i'd Like to Confirm FIRST Racing's return to F3000.
Second, i will debunk the rumour of us jumping to F1. We aren't that suicidal.
Third, we are selling our two chassis to anyone interested. They are potent and they are still in top condition! Plus, we are willing to negotiate!

Done. Please note that Lola T90/50/3 has been scrapped due to residual crash damage and was sold for parts. This car will not appear in the used car market, and the parts have been bought be an "anonymous Italian Engineering Firm"
All Users - Please note the new chassis and engine market will open at 8pm British Summer Time on Saturday May 8th. Il Barone Rampante will remain available until 24 hours after this date for any interested users, after which I will take them over in a caretaker role

Re: ALT-F3000: 1991 Season - Market Open
Driver signing
Requirements:
Drivers must have:
- started in less than 16 F1 Grands Prix, and have finished no higher than 4th at any point.
- have competed in any official F3000 or F3 championship before (or equivalent series as determined by me.)
Signing process:
You may make offers for up to FIVE drivers per seat. There are three types of contract terms you may offer to a driver.
Contract: You may offer a driver a wage to join your team; this must be between £65k-£110k per season (or £5k-£10k per race). You may pay the driver per race, or pay his seasons' fee immediately. If you wish to terminate the agreement with a contracted driver, you must pay the rest of the agreed time off with him.
For example, Driver A signs with a team for 11 Races at £5k per race. Having been sacked after 6 races, the team must pay off the remaining five. You can offer a driver fewer races per season, but it becomes more difficult to re-sign the driver if you wish for them to complete any more races. If you choose to pay the driver per race, but cannot afford to do so at any point, you must pay double at the next race event. If you still default on payments, the driver may leave the team.
A driver views a contracted drive as first priority.
Pay-driver: You offer the driver a seat, but the driver must bring a budget with them. The less successful a driver in previous formulae, the more likely they are to bring a larger budget with them. The amount of budget a driver brings will be generated through RNG after drivers have been signed by teams. The team can request that the driver pays per race or per season, but if a driver is sacked mid-way through the season then the team must pay back the equivalent sponsorship value per race. Sponsorship RNGs offer values of £55k per season to £275k per season, in £55k increments (the value generated can be divided by 11 for a race-by-race payment value.), with weightings based on driver success.
For example, Driver B signs for a team and pays for the season up-front. Having been sacked after 6 races, the team must pay back the value of (sponsorship value/11)x5.
Due to increased job security, a driver views a pay-driver option as second priority. Drivers will not entertain this option if offered a contracted drive.
Non-contract:A driver may also sign for a team on non-contract terms. You do not have to pay the driver or request that they bring a budget, and you can replace them at any time. However, other teams can make offers to non-contract drivers mid-season should they impress.
Due to low job security, a driver views a non-contract option as a final resort. Drivers will not entertain this option if offered a contracted drive or pay-drive.
Fictional drivers:
Signing a fictional driver helps the canonical storyline but drivers can only join a team on a contracted basis, subject to a fee agreed between team-owner and DEC holder. DEC holders must confirm in-thread that they agree to the terms set out. Contract termination charges still apply.

Following three relatively fruitless seasons in F3000, and only a podium in the chaotic 1988 Pau Grand Prix to write home about, John Thornburn of Bromley Motorsport has decided to call it a day on his F3000 venture, selling his entrant to a consortium for an undisclosed sum.
