2021 Formula 3 European Championship - Season Over!

Post by Pinkd56 »

Image

Welcome to the 2021 FIA F3 European Championship season!

The Simulator

Aislabie's world famous spreadsheet!

The Cars

All drivers will use a standard Lola T20/30 F3 chassis powered by an Opel V4T engine.

The Drivers and Teams

In contrast to 2020, all teams must enter two drivers into all rounds of the series. Drivers can be of any nationality, but all teams must be entered under a racing licence from any country in Europe*. I retain the right to refuse any unrealistic teams entering into the series.

*Barring Calinetic Junior Team due to an existing entry.

All drivers and teams can be fictional or real-life drivers. I'd encourage the use of drivers from previous seasons on canon Formula 4 to help clear that backlog, although this is not mandatory.

Each car can have any number from #1 to #99. The previous year's team's champion carries the #1 - this is currently Prema Powerteam.

There is a grid limit of 26 cars except for the Masters of Europe round where there will be a grid limit of 36. If there is more entrants than spaces, I will choose teams to create an even balance of nationalities in the series.

Teams marked in red need confirmation by their owner that they are returning for the 2021 season.

Teams marked in green are confirmed entrants for the 2021 season.

ITA Prema Powerteam - GertrandBachot - Carries #1
GBR Plus One Racing Engineering - Pasta
GER HYPERNOVA Racing - Ataxia and Klon
CZE Charouz Racing System - Dom
ESP Abiadura Euskara - Pinkd56
AUT Union Saver Developments - SeedStriker
FRA ART Grand Prix - kevinbotz
JAM Calinetic Junior Team - Miguel98
ITA Scuderia Adriatica - novitopoli
AUT MarchSixteen Racing - Hermann95
GBR McEwan Automotive with Precision - Aislabie
ITA Corsa Piemontese - Stareagle
GBR Carlin - Frogfoot9013

Waiting list:
1. Gegolbi

Events

Each weekend will feature a single 100km with a single qualifying session. The race calendar can be found here: https://formularejects.com/wiki/2021_FI ... hip_season

The Points System

1 - 15 pts
2 - 12 pts
3 - 10 pts
4 - 8 pts
5 - 6 pts
6 - 5 pts
7 - 4 pts
8 - 3 pts
9 - 2 pts
10 - 1 pt
Pole Position - 2 pts

F3 World Cup

https://formularejects.com/wiki/2021_FI ... _World_Cup

The Formula 3 World Cup will see teams and drivers compete at the three most prestigious Formula 3 races around the world to be crowned Formula 3 World Champions. Teams from each F3 series can enter the World Cup races to fight for the championship.

For World Cup events, there will be a set number of grid slots allocated for World Cup entrants from the two other F3 series (Europe and America).
More information on the World Cup points system will follow.

So, what do I do....

If you're a team owner marked in red, confirm your participation in this year's championship by using the form below.

To grab one of the remaining grid slots please use the form below.

As the new manager of Precision, I would like if possible to take over running Precision-Mucke.

If not, then I'll take on another team

As Wazzle may decide to continue using the Mücke entry - I will note your entry for now. In the event he does wish to continue you will be assigned the final TBA slot. For all prospective entrants - there are question marks over the status of Carlin and Magnussen Racing Experience so there is a very good chance you will be able to enter the series.

Birmingham Gazette wrote:SUPERPRIX "A FINANCIAL DISASTER"
The Birmingham City Council has revealed that the return of Grand Prix racing to the streets of Birmingham in the summer of 2021 had come at a "substantial cost" and was not to return in 2022. The race had originally been planned to be home of the British Grand Prix in the AutoReject World Series but financial issues saw the series collapse after the second round. Organisers scrambled to find a replacement - which was found in the FIA European Formula Three Championship and the British Touring Car Championship. The junior formula series failed to attract the crowds the ARWS promised the city and the race weekend was considered a monumental flop.

Formula Three organisers are reportedly keen for another street race in the United Kingdom, with a proposal for a meeting in the London Docklands being suggested for a future season. Easy access to local news is vital, that's why you need to sign in to our website to read the rest of this article.

I'll paste this here also if European teams are interested in signing South American talent.

Promising Paraguayans Arsenio Godoy (2nd in F4 Americas 2020) and Carlos Ramón Jiménez (3rd in F4 Americas 2020) are looking for seats in Formula 3 in 2021. Interested parties please be in contact :)

2018 FIA F4 World Cup winner Luca Bandini is looking for a seat, he has two years F3 experience, and is a piece of reliable hands that can score regular points.

Due to general inactivity in the community - Gonzo & Bandon23 have lost their entries in the series. As there is ambiguity towards the status of Wazzle, Aislabie will be receiving one of the grid slots vacated by the aforementioned two seat holders to run a Precision-affiliated team. Wazzle is permitted to continue in the series if he wishes - albeit without Precision backing.

In that case, I would like to enter the series with:

Image McEwan Automotive with Precision (if Wazzle decides he doesn't want to keep Mucke, then for narrative purposes I would still prefer to pivot to them for the time being)

Our first driver (#3) will be Image Klaus Vendetta (DEC: me)

For our second driver (#4) we will approach the following drivers:
  1. Image Gregoire Saucy
  2. Image/Image William Alatalo
  3. Image Herbert Boam (DEC: me - he is still available to any team who will take him on)
----------------

Image
Image Herbert Boam is a young British driver who is available to any European F3 team that might choose to sign him. In 2020, he won the independent BRDC Formula 3 series (which, despite its name, was a Formula 4-level series, outside the purview of the FIA - it has been forced to rename ahead of the 2021 season as the FIA continues to invest in its Formula 3 system) and is ideally looking for competitive drives in the European Formula 3 Championship. He is of course named after the legendary British Formula 1 prospect, who was tragically killed at Imola in 1994 before becoming the World Champion that everyone agreed he was destined to be.

Mucke Motorsport has opted to leave the series, leaving one spare slot on the grid. As there is no-one on the waiting list, the slot will remain vacant for 2021.

I need the following information from the below teams:
Prema Powerteam - Driver bids
Charouz Racing System - Car numbers and driver bids
Calinetic Junior Team - Car numbers and driver bids
