2022 British Grand Prix - Predicament Predictions!

Post by Rob Dylan »

Super happy Tuesday everyone, because it's time to open up the latest Predicament Predictions round for Silverstone! With the holidays coming up soon it will give me some time to catch up on these threads and start counting up the scores. But in the meantime, we're in the UK for the tenth round of the season. If Hamilton doesn't win here he extends his longest winless streak - are you going to bet against that happening?

As always, here is your blank slate. The cut-off before penalties are applied is the end of FP3 (because there's no sprint race apparently?). If you have any questions about the rules, just message me or check out the Bahrain thread from round 1 of this year's competition.

And the results are in! Two of you correctly predicted the winner, and another two predicted ROTR, but for the rest of it, it was free for all. A bunch of strange outcomes in almost all the awards means that this was a low-scoring round, especially for this year when the numbers have been quite high all around. But the result is that the championship leader Aerond takes his second win of the season with 15 points.

The double points users did not thrive, unfortunately. Predicting something normal, they were let down by the craziness of the Silverstone race and didn't take very many points. That could prove crucial further down the road. On that note, don't forget to use your double points this year - we've had very few users of it.

Results
1. Aerond 15
2. IceG 13
3. CarloSpace 12*
- Londoner 12*

5. Enforcer 11
6. pi314159 10

- yannicksamlad 7
- dr-baker 7
18. tommykl 6
19. Bleu 5

*used double points
*funniest alternative race title

With Aerond winning, that obviously means he extends his championship lead over RAK and IceG, the latter of which is looking ever stronger as a championship contender this year. Here are the full standings after ten rounds.

Updated Standings
1. Aerond 142
2. RAK 132
3. IceG 131
