Alternate F1 - The Revolutionary Era - 1995 Season

Post by Gertrand Bachot »

The world's most murderous racing series moves onto its next set of corpses. Time to decide who they shall be.

The Cars

The chassis will be mostly the same as they were in the real life season, with slight performance adjustments based on the previous performance of a team the season before, and to fit the narrative of the period.

The Drivers

Before the start of each season, you are free to offer contracts for two driver slots. Unlike in previous seasons, you won't have any objectives to meet, although some drivers are locked into certain teams and there may be certain driver requirements imposed on certain teams (again for storyline purposes).

If multiple teams are bidding for a certain driver, RNG shall decide their fate, as usual.

The Teams

14 teams for 1995, 2 cars per team. These 14 teams have been determined by the needs of the canon and previous developments:

Mild Seven Benetton Arrows (kevinbotz)
Tyrrell Racing Organisation (Wazzle)
Marlboro McLaren Mercedes (TCBY)
Footwork Team Oreca (Aislabie)
MTV Simtek (Dexter249)
Total Jordan Peugeot (Dom)
Pacific Team Lotus (Frogfoot9013)
Larrousse Gitanes Blondes (Pasta)
Forti Ford (Butterfox)
Minardi Scuderia Italia (pinkd56)
Rothmans Williams Renault (Klon)
Scuderia Ferrari (GB)
Red Bull Sauber Ford (shawn040217)
Junior DAMS F1 (Kinnikuniverse)

The Race Weekend

305 km except Monaco, you all know how a Formula One race works.

The Points System

10-6-4-3-2-1 for the time being.

The Race Calendar

On the wiki.

I'm much more active on the Discord so you can hit me up over there if you want me to do anything for you (within reason of course).

At the minute, I need existing team owners to confirm their teams. You have until the end of this week (24th) to do this.

I would like to confirm that Oreca will be continuing into 1995.

After a very successful 1994 season, we would love to continue our partnership with Mugen

Death to Larrousse.

Larrousse confirm their entry for the 1995 Formula 1 World Championship. In addition, we confirm the return of the hugely popular "bag a baguette" offer from the boulangerie on Fridays - now with the addition of a haggis option in celebration of David Coulthard's efforts for the team last season.

DAMS makes its debut in F1 after years of excellence in the lower categories. We also request that, due to us being french, that we gain access to the 1994 Renault Engines please.

I will continue ensuring the continual participation of Mclaren through 1995, with the aim of reversing the downward trend of performance by utilising a strategic partnership with Mercedes-Benz

Bid Time

Post by Gertrand Bachot »

And with that, it is time to move to the next phase.

You can bid for drivers freely, however note that a few teams have a driver locked in.

As a result of drawing closer towards the end of 1990s Alt-F1, engine suppliers have for the most part been pre-decided for this year. This is done for narrative reasons and to ensure things properly lock up with the state of Alt-F1 at around the year 2000. Therefore you won't be able to bid on engines from this year onwards.

Entries (as well as drivers locked in) can be found on the wiki.

Post your bids in this format:

Code: Select all

Image Footwork Team Oreca
We would like to appeal the decision to award Mugens to Larrousse straight after they had a very successful season with Oreca.

Car #9
  1. Image Mika Hakkinen (full season)
  2. Image Jeremy-Etienne Voeckler (full season)
  3. Image Chris Dagnall (full season - confirmed by Aerond)
Car #10
  1. Image Chris Dagnall (full season - confirmed by Aerond)
  2. Image Nigel Mansell (British GP)
Image Kazuki Fushida (PAC, JPN - only if we get Mugens otherwise Image Taki Inoue)
    Image Mike Boullier (FRA, BEL)
Image Christian Fittipaldi (all remaining rounds)
  3. Image Didier Artzet (all remaining rounds)
  4. Image Damon Hill (all remaining rounds)
If we end up with empty seat(s) after that then it officially heralds the Death Throes

Apologies for the sheer number of edits there. I had a severe skill issue making the list formatting work.
