I've just found a file on my laptop with some more results for this thread in it. Here is a copy-and-paste of that.

Thursday 12th June 2008, NBS, Coyote Run 250, Meadow Creek Speedway, qualifying, round 16/35

17.208 seconds and pole position. Still a handling deficit, so let's see how the race goes on this short tri-oval.

Saturday 14th June 2008, NBS, Coyote Run 250, Meadow Creek Speedway, race, 62 laps, round 16/35

That race was so unfair. Douglas had nearly a one second lead at the end of lap 10 (0.96 seconds). Taking a wide line through the occasional corner meant Douglas lost time and from around lap 17 to 23, it was a fairly clean battle between the top three. Later, another wide line through a turn on lap 26 meant Douglas lost a bit of momentum, Douglas then got squeezed against the pit wall, then got collected as he tried to regain speed, and got flipped, resulting in a DNF and classified 43rd. Having led 21 of the first 26 laps. Absoultely gutted.

Thursday 19th June 2008, AT&T 250, Milwaukee, qualifying, round 17/35

Douglas started his qualifying run, but with the car still not running well, and with a guarenteed starting spot, he decided to abort the run. This was so he was sure not to start in the mid-field as he was on course to do, so he could have a cleaner start to the race and take his time on the start.
