1) Alpine for having genuine race pace.

2) Magnussen for keeping the car solidly in the Top 10

1. Everyone who stayed up and watched all 57 laps. We're the real MVPs everyone.

2. Kevin Magnussen. A well earned point.

Was gonna say Alpine or Gasly, but they faded a bit late in the race.

K-Mag, I guess.

Oh.. reliability. 0 DNFs today.

I'm going to go with Mercedes.

They looked really bad in practice and qualifying and managed to outscore Ferrari today.

Kevin Magnussen The obvious choice. P4 in quali is halfway to a nomination by itself, but he managed to bring it home to earn a juicy point for the team, whilst making an embarrasment of Leclerc in the process. Easily the standout this weekend.

A single point might not seem much, but with the Top 8 so ahead of everyone else this season, points are gonna be hard to come by.

Was almost going to say nobody but Alpine's 6 points could be big in the fight for P5 in the constructors.

Alpine gets my nomination pretty much by default, as most other teams and drivers were somewhere around their expected position. Magnussen's point was also impressive, but less unexpected after his qualifying.

KMag for the driver.

Alpine for the team.

But a race with 0 DNFs, 0 yellow flags, 0 red flags, and 0 safety cars at a street circuit in the USA - most improbable.

Just one for me, which is Kevin Magnussen. When he's largely been outshone by Hulk so far, KMag knocked it out of the park.

1) Alpine: A decent haul of points for a team that hasn't had the best of it this season.

That's it: Magnussen dropped well back from qualifying, so I don't think his final position was really an IIDOTR.

K-Mag: Qualified 4th in a Haas, hung on to a point for 10th and also brought back Gasly Austria 2019 vibes by holding Leclerc off for nearly 40 laps.

Alpine: Mixed it with Merc’s and Ferrari’s all weekend, I really hope they can bridge the gap and respond to the CEO’s quite public dressing down

Every viewer who stayed up through the whole race - I fell asleep to this, and it was the shortened rerun. Really says a lot about the nature of the track and its racing.

It would be funny if FortiWinks returned from his absence only to find out that I'm the Forti in town now.

I dozed off and missed the main round of pitstops. So little was going on, I didn't bother rewinding to see what I'd missed. I still don't know what Sainz's 5-second penalty was for.
It's just unbelievable...that Formula 1 could be such a ridiculous melange of idiots.
