Re: Most Forgettable Drivers
Old Racing Cars and Stats F1 have a bit more to say about him. He was a wealthy businessman who started racing in local races and hillclimbs shortly after WW2, first in an Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 and then a Jaguar XK120. He was moderately successful, taking some podiums and class wins. For the 1953 Swiss GP he hired a HWM-Alta, finishing 16 laps behind the leader (StatsF1 claims he didn't finish, but he's classified ahead of people who are recorded as having retired). After the GP he continued his hillclimb career for a few years, including a +2600cc class win in 1956 in a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL.Har1MAS1415 wrote: ↑17 Nov 2024, 22:22Swiss driver, drove an HWM in his home GP in 1953, finished 9th.

Eurosport broadcast for the 1990 Mexican GP prequalifying:
"The Life, it looked very lifeless yet again... in fact Bruno did one, slow lap"

Brian Hart, drove the Protos F2 car at the 1967 German GP, finished 12th on the road but there are conflicting claims as to whether he was classified or not.
