The report said its information has been collected "as objectively as possible", based on "reliable and verified information" from "those who know and have seen him recently and are aware of his clinical status."
Provided that that is indeed true and reliable, then that is indeed promising news.

Two years to the day that Michael Schumacher's life changed forever. There was a story a few days ago claiming he was able to walk again, but the speed at which it was shot down, and the fact it was run by a German gossip magazine, said otherwise. To be honest, I've accepted that we probably won't ever see him in public again.

I think we will one day, but it could take years. Natural aging, after five or more years, would make his reappearance somewhat shocking as it is, when you factor in his rehabilitation I think he'll be almost unrecognisable. But such things will be so far down the list of priorities for the family as to be barely considered I would've thought. But one day, I believe, he'll wave the chequered flag at the end of a race. I'd like to think it would be for the German GP but by that stage it'll be an event wherever it takes place.

James Allen, on his favourite F1 engine of all time:
"...the Life W12, I can't describe the noise to you, but imagine filling your dustbin with nuts and bolts, and then throwing it down the stairs, it was something akin to that!"

A German court has jailed one individual for three years after he threatened to upload 900 photos, 600 videos, plus medical reports of the seven-time Formula 1 world champion to the dark web unless Schumacher’s family paid a ransom of €15million.
A second man has been charged with aiding and abetting by the district court in Wuppertal, western Germany, and issued a six-month suspended sentence.
A former security guard at Schumacher's home was also served with a two-year suspended sentence despite pleading to having had no involvement in the extortion.

What is a little concerning is the news that there were reportedly two hard drives with information about Michael that were sold off, but only one of those drives has been recovered to date (the whereabouts of the second being unknown).dr-baker wrote: ↑14 Feb 2025, 19:21https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/trio- ... /10695871/Autosport wrote:Three men have been convicted of trying to blackmail Michael Schumacher’s family for millions of pounds.

I'm surprised there's still this media blackout from the family. Of course, it is private matter and really none of our business, being a fan doesn't give you ownership of anything, but I can't help feeling releasing some kind of image every now and then might stop opportunists trying to make money out of it. It suggests MSC is still in a pretty bad way, sadly.
But where there's a life there's hope and my hope remains one day he'll wave the chequered flag at the end of a race. There might not be a German race by then to wave it at, of course. It'll probably be at the end of the Pyongyang GP or, the way it's going, back at Sochii
