That is because the penalties only kick in if you fail to post your predictions before the end of FP2.
Anyway, the first practise session has been completely sodden and quite cold, so most of the teams have spent a sizeable amount of time in the garage. As such, it seems that the times from the session are pretty unrepresentative of what is actually going on.
Well, it will be interesting to see what the weather is like on Sunday - should it be dry, then I'd expect the usual suspects to dominate, but should it be wet, it should mix the grid up a fair bit.

1. Alonso
2. Vettel
3. Webber
4. Hamilton
5. Button
6. Kubica
7. Massa
8. Rosberg
9. Kobayashi
10. Sutil

Pole - Alonso
Fastest - Vettel
First Retirement - Di Grassi
ROTR - Schumacher
IIDOTR - Kobayashi
DBTMOTR - Schumacher (even without the effects of the penalty, I suspect that Rosberg would still end up a fair few places ahead of Schumacher).
MLPD - Kobayashi
MLPT - Virgin Racing

Penalties are only enforced if predictions are posted after the conclusion of FP2 (So in about 2 hours)

I don't take penalities into account. If I did then it'll just mess the whole thing up.

Oh, how funny. You might not believe this, but I dreamed the other night that I was again late with this. If F1 Rejects gets into your dreams, you know your sanity is not what it used to be.

Oh well, thank goodness I'm not actually late and will therefore not incur my third consecutive penalty. (I'm just playing for the heck of it now anyway, since failures to post and posting late have rejectified my title chances.)

So, there we go with my Predictions:

1. Alonso
2. Button
3. Sutil
4. Hamilton
5. Barrichello
6. Webber
7. Vettel
8. Rosberg
9. Massa
10. Schumacher
Pole: Vettel
Fastest lap: Schumacher
First retirement: Liuzzi
ROTR: Liuzzi
IIDOTR: Schumacher
DBTMOTR: Liuzzi
Minor League Premiership (Drivers): Petrov
Minor League Premiership (Teams): Lotus

Not using double points.

Btw, this is based on the assumption that it will rain at some point during qualifying and/or the race.

Bugger. I forgot about that penalty when I did my predictions (just to show how much thought goes into it...) so if he does indeed get second as I foolishly predicted, he will deserve the IIDOTR, which he would get based on performance so far this year... Only hope I have is that Schumacher's previous form at this track...

Wow - forgot about that, too. So perhaps him beating Rosberg to go on to P6 was a bit overoptimistic.

Well, I'd put Kobayashi in the top 10, and he went and binned it in qualifying, whilst Rosberg will be starting in 17th thanks to a gearbox change - and, for good measure, Webber has stuck it on pole whilst Alonso (who I predicted for pole) is stuck back in 10th place.
So, all in all, it hasn't been the best of days for me so far - here's hoping for a bit of rain tomorrow.

I would've posted my predictions earlier, but my computer has decided to not work anymore, so I'm doing this from an internet cafe while I wait for it to be repaired. I know I'll get a humongous penalty, if not being disqualified outright, for being this outrageously late, but I think Kubica actually has a decent shot for once, and I won't be able to live with myself if he does win the one race where I didn't post my predictions. So, without further ado...

1. Kubica
2. Webber
3. Hamilton
4. Vettel
5. Massa
6. Button
7. Barrichello
8. Alonso
9. Sutil
10. Kovalainen (why not?)

Pole: Webber (obviously)
Fastest lap: Kubica
First retirement: Schumacher
ROTR: Schumacher
IIDOTR: Kubica
DBTMOTR: Petrov
Minor League Premiership (Drivers): Buemi
Minor League Premiership (Teams): Lotus

Everything's great.
I'm not surprised about anything.
