Just wanted to thank jackanderton again for the suggestion Formule Elaborate Bluff, which we incorporated into the British GP Edition of the podcast.

I think we're into Formula elaborate double bluff territory now.
"will you stop him playing tennis then?", referring to Montoya's famous shoulder injury, to which Whitmarsh replied "well, it's very difficult to play tennis on a motorbike"

Does anyone else have a feeling this should be called the "Formula Pulled Out Too Soon"?

Yeah, I was suprised at myself with that. I'm a relatively religious person anyway!

I was thinking more like Skeletons, since there's always a Lich (FIA/FOTA) to rise it back from the dead.

Oh, maybe I've played too much Oblivion lately

Formula Elaborate Bluff that Didn't Work Too Well.

How about Formula 0.5B? And F1 could rename itself Formula 0.5A? And that could signify how each is going to be absolutely shiite separated.

Or maybe Formula EA (Emulating America), and then like the Americans, we could watch LMS instead.

Or maybe just for both, Formula-te our own downfall. Not very catchy I know, but probably the most truthful.

On a more serious note, Bernie Ecclestone has had the copyright on the name GP1 for some time now. With FOTA looking to deal directly with CVC - effectively giving them a ready-made championship to run if FIA talks fall through - then next year we could be watching GP1. Which kind of makes sense; the next generation of drivers will likely come from the GP2 championship while on the other side of the pond, the FIA Formula One chmapionship would draw from Formula Two.

That said, I'm still pretty sure we'll see all thirteen teams in one championship starting from next year.
