Speed is reporting on something other than NASCAR.
That's news in and of itself, but anyway, beside that point, they are also reporting that Franck Montagny has signed with Andretti (F1 reject) Green Racing in the Indycar series in the US. Driving the appropriately sponsored 'Automatic Fire Sprinkler Inc.' car.
They also point out he finished in the third position in the 24 Hours of Le Mans (co-driving with Sebastien Bourdais)
Super Aguri fans, rejoice!
Super Aguri fans, rejoice!
"Grosjean has a great desire to turn around and look at the corner he's just gone through, too many times per lap or per session, he's always spinning that Renault"
Re: Super Aguri fans, rejoice!
But Montagny wasn't loved by Supah Agoori fans - he was an invader into Japanese territory. Try saying Franck Montagny in a mildly racist impersonation of an enthusiastic Japanese fan/commentator - it can't be done. So him getting a seat in one of them there American race car series is not a cause for rejoicing. All my opinion of course. Maybe people with a penchant for ex-Renault and Toyota test drivers will be giddy with glee.
Better than 'Tour in a suit case' Takagi.

Ditto Anthony Davidson!
"will you stop him playing tennis then?", referring to Montoya's famous shoulder injury, to which Whitmarsh replied "well, it's very difficult to play tennis on a motorbike"

It must have been interesting when Brundle and Blundell were teammates....

Montangy did some Champ Car races in 2007, with PKV I think...but not 100% sure.
So its nothing new really.
And yeah, he wasnt really a true Super Aguri driver. Just a foreign mid-season replacement who nobody gave a toss about.

A bizarre case of France invading Japan, even Impossible at RISK!
Winners have lots of friends, losers have good friends.

Mostly because "France" doesn't exist in Risk.

He finished second at Long Beach 2008-as far as I can tell, that's his only American experience.
