There's also the rumour MINI will return to the WRC with the Countryman. See how much substance is in these falsehoods?

Yeah, it was back in 2005. I remember seeing Colin McRae driving it at Rally Australia. The man was insane going over the Bunnings Jumps; he was so fast he actually managed to take to the air going over the drop leading up to the first jump.

The team had quite a few hard chargers in the day. Armin Schwarz was one of them, reportedly beating the WRC record for a long jump in Portugal, at the infamous Fafe Special Stage: 73.5 meters! :o

Skoda also had some WRC Rejects race for them too. Like Bruno Thiry. He had an awful season in 2001. Failed to score a point. 3 8th places was his best result all season. Whereas Schwarz managed a 3rd at the Safari Rally that year.
But at least they weren't as bad as Suzuki. If there was a WRC Rejects, they'd easily be one of the biggest.
Something SEAT, Skoda and even Suzuki's WRC programmes had in common? All had Toni Gardemeister as the lead driver (by the time the Fabia had come along, Schwarz was only rallying part-time and had more of a management role).
Is Toni really slow and worthy of reject status? No. Its just that he puts a curse on his teams unintentionally...
