Well, it doesn't look like the race will restart anytime soon, sadly.

In most overtakes somebody gets into another persons racing line, are they all not supposed to take into account that there's another car next to them and just follow the racing line blindly?

That BUT was taking the usual racing line & in view of the conditions would be very unlikely to know that HAM was, somewhat rashly, trying to do the same.

I have to give credit where it is due...just heard an interview with Hamilton in the pits by SpeedTV reporter...he didn't blame Button beyond saying he didn't see me and he was sure it was a racing accident. I thought he handled it quite well.

Am I right in thinking that if Kamui gets second, then it's the best ever result for a Japanese driver? I seem to recall that Takuma only managed to get a third...

Aguri Suzuki and taku have thirds, but you would be right, best result ever, awesome

According to five live F1 there might be repairs to Hamilton's car... Chandhok says he won't be classified, but Crofty is wondering they'll have him go out to test some stuff out. Odd but possible.

To be honest, it looks like Lewis tries to straighten up while Button is still going diagonally.

He did handle that pretty well and I'm certainly not a Hamilton fan.

Sato and Aguri Suzuki hold the joint highest finish for a Japanese driver for 3rd.

Considering Ferrari's track record in terms of weather prediction, that just means the teams should start building arks now.

It doesn't look as bad now, to be fair. Although Vettel and Kamui abandoning their cars (finally) might imply that they're not thinking that it's being started soon.

It's a credit to the Montreal circuit that this seems to be the one Grand Prix where rain doesn't improve the show.
