Oh boy, Force Indias having P3 and P4 after the start. Who'd have thought that?

Wouldn't be surprised if Maldonado had jumped the start.

E: Yep, 100% jump start.

Caterham in 10th!

Grosjean is out again, Perez is out, Kobayashi needs a new front wing after his horrendous start, but he won't be a lap down.

That was an insane accident and Grosjean was the one who triggered it, not Hamilton. Poor Sergio Perez :(

Maldonado didn't look like he jumped the strart. Grosjean's fault at the first corner, in my opinion. Holy crap, look at the view from Kobayashi's car.

It's scary to watch those accidents in first person view. Kobayashi saw all those cars coming from the right :?

Big big big crash :o GROSJEAN!

Alonso and Hamilton out ->
Perez and Kobayashi -> :cry:

Wonder start from Maldonado but apparently he jumped the start, hopefully Raikkonen can now win the race, with the FORCE INDIAS 3RD AND 4TH AND SCHUMACHER 5TH

Button, Raikkonen and the Red Bull drivers will be delighted with that - a real chance to eat into Alonso's championship lead if they can take it.

Ricciardo 6th, Webber 8th, ahead of their teammates. Brilliant

Although seeing the onboard from Alonso, he's probably going to need a new pair of pants after that...

What is insane is the positions of the cars behind button and raikonnen, both force indias and toro rossos in top 10, where did that come from?

Completely Grosjean's fault. He's not good on lap one is he. Poor Sauber too, but I had a hunch this would happen to them.

However - SCHUMI 5th!

But it was Grosjean who knocked Hamilton off to the grass in the first place. After that he was just a passenger while Grosjean took out everyone... Once again, the FIA's case for closed cockpits or higher sides to prevent cars from running on top of each other; Alonso was really lucky.

Is it just me or is Kovalainen up into the points?

Also,I think Kobayashi's pitstop is not that bad at all for him.He gets to switch to the hards, which can give him track positions as he overtakes those still using their first pitstops to switch to options.

Also,Hamilton i think has every right to be mad at Grosjean.

Alonso is lucky to walk away from that unhurt, after having Grosjean piling over him and then Hamilton. I'm suprised he wasn't hit by any debris :?

Interesting fact: Alonso was in a first-lap incident in Barrichello's 300th race at Spa and he was now in a first-lap incident in Schumacher's 300th race at Spa

Speaking of lucky bastards, how did Kobayashi escape that crash? It was a bloody miracle. And Maldonado's out. Hulkenburg in second! (Force India advantage at high speed circuits, perhaps?)

I'd have to agree that, on reviewing the replay, that Grosjean probably has to bear the majority of the blame for that accident - given that he was being edged towards the edge of the track, he didn't have many options available to him. Equally, from Alonso's point of view that was a pretty nasty accident - thank goodness that Grosjean struck Alonso's car towards the front of the chassis.
Martin Brundle, on watching a replay of Grosjean spinning:
"The problem with Grosjean is that he want to take a look back at the corner he's just exited"

For every step forward that Williams make, Pastor takes them two back.

Now all we need is rain and the race is Schumi's. Doesn't look likely though.

Maldonado's retirement appears to have been caused by a crash with Glock - formula1.com reporting an investigation.
