If im right there is an site for Lotus old race scale models incl transporters was something like classicteamlotus.com
Maybe they got them ?

Well Sparks made that model, what i saw is that the model number is
Spark S0280 maybe you can google for it orso

I've been sticking to kits lately, but I did get this reject for a very nice price.

Hm if im correct Pilette just scored 2 points with Gordini in 1954 , or is there a diffrent rule for drivers during the 1950's and 60's ?

You're right, he is a reject. 1 5th place only, so 2 points.

You seem to forget his three other 6th places scored when they didn't count for points

In that case Mazzacane isnt either an Reject driver
Jan Lammers isnt, if they did count the 7 6 8 9 and 10th position they scored

It all depends on how many points they scored with the 10/9-6-4-3-2-1 system. Using that system, Pilette has five points, and is not a reject. Lammers and Mazzacane have 0 points in that system, and are rejects. Easy.

Lammers would have scored 4 points , right out my head he scored two 9th places and one 10th place.
Also one 10th place with ATX in 1980 but im not sure.

And Mazzacane scored at least two 8thplaces im positive of that

Its between impossible to compare the diffrent pointsystems they had in the last 63 years.
You should keep the point system per period as they where giving i think.

Nope, the reject criteria depends only on the 10/9-6-4-3-2-1 system. I mean, Friesacher is next on the list in terms of driver profiles, and he scored 3 points in his points system. The thing is that he only scored 1 point in the system that matters reject-wise. Pilette scored 2 in the contemporary system, but his three other sixth places unrejectify him. Lammers and Mazzacane never finished in the top six, so aren't even within a point or two of unrejectification.

Can't wait for Friesacher's profile. The part about Indy 2005 will be interesting, especially as that race prevents Karthikeyan from ever getting a profile.

Fixed... indy 2005 was a bout as far removed from a race as you could get....

OK, Reject criteria. Forget about the points.

Any of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th places - you're not a reject.
Best result = 7th or worse - you're a reject.
At least 3 6th - not a reject
1 5th plus one 6th - not a reject
2 5th - not a reject
1 5th or one or two 6th - reject.

As says the holy site:

All a former Formula One driver needs to do to escape eligibility for this site is to have been successful in F1. Specifically, they must have scored ...
• a 4th, 3rd, 2nd or 1st place, or
• a 5th place, plus any other top-6 result, or
• three or more 6th places
How hard can that be? Very!

Getting quite off-topic now, but I'm really looking forward to seeing what Barrichello has to say about Indy 2005. In his interview with Maurice Hamilton in the latest F1 Racing, he says that there was a lot of communication over the radio that day, and he's going to reveal all in his book which will be coming out soon. Along with everything else that has gone on in Rubens' career, that should be a great read!

I've got one of these as well I've been a long-time lurker here, but I've been on a recent eBay tear, buying every sub-$15 F1 diecast in sight Have built up quite the collection, but the Tarquini Tyrrell, along with a Deletraz Pacific which now has a broken rear axle after a recent move and a Frentzen Sauber, were my first.

But do be patient; I've just managed to secure my holy grail- a 1994 Erik Comas Larrouse in Kronenbourg livery (made by Eligor- very rare and usually stupidly priced)- after several years of waiting!

So far I have successfully secured three, all Onyx:

- McLaren Honda from what I believe was 1991. I wasn't as serious about collecting then, so I just started carrying it around with me as a "travel protector" along with a broken Senna keychain fob (the one superstition I allow myself, heh) and so have more or less destroyed it (rear wing off, paint chipped).
- McLaren Ford from 1993, which must be either a modification or a production error as it has the number 7 on it (Onyx Model 178). The correct one, 179, keeps slipping through my fingers in auctions.
- Williams Renault from 1994, the test car, I believe.

All of them were under $20 shipped. so it can be done but will require patience.

Speaking of that Larrousse - I have it! Bought it as part of a huge eBay spree. It's a lovely model.

Correction: four Senna models A 1990 McLaren Honda just arrived.

I build models, mainly aircraft but also the odd F1 cars, mainly build Tamiya 1/20 which are quite common.

Not rejectful, but last build the Lotus 99T (1987). Yellow 'LOTUS' livery. Using Senna's name and number. Was very delighted to have found tobacco decals within the kit though, which makes the model look even better. I did do a little bit of detailing (engine cover off showing turbo, a little bit of cables/pipes etc.) but they don't look as good as yours I must say.

I merged my Lotus to a pit crew set as well, which does make a nice Diorama too.

Must say he B70 Valkyrie looks amazing, and the aircraft with the cargo coming out looks rad too!

Nice! I have the 99T as one of mine to do next, currently resurrecting an old partially ruined B192 from when I first started out. The 99T I'm hoping will be fairly straightforward - just throw the chrome yellow over it and chuck the decals on! Mine has tobacco ones with it as well - I think we must have original releases as the re-released version from a couple of years back (the black box one) definitely doesn't.

Yeah It is the original version. Unfortunately it does not come with driver figure, which I generally prefer, but that's just personal.

Saying that I do have a Tyrrell P34 (6 wheeler) in the stash somewhere, which does have a driver figure. That seems simple, all it is literally a Blue and White livery.

Interestingly, it comes with wires to make it looks like cables as the engine is exposed (the norm back then) and also the Goodyear lettering on the rubber tyres need to be painted on, there is a slight outline, but might/can be challenging.

A driver figure is also supplied!

He blames me, naturally, as I'm the one who lost our copy of F1 97 for the PS1 around the same time

I have only one F1 model. I believe if someone only has one model it should be this:

Will buy a few as soon as I get paid, because this thread totally convinced me that having a PS01 is MUCH more vital than food for example.

Not really rejectful, but I've today finally completed my collection of all eight cars from the original Onyx year of 1988 (Senna-Prost; Piquet-Nakajima; Alboreto-Berger; Nannini-Boutsen). Investgating this thread has made me realise that it's taken me four years to do!

I have at least one car from each team produced in 1989 and 1990 also, and am determined to stop wasting my money now!

Strange how I always thought of the Onyx models as being the ultimate scaled-down job with the finest detail, but seeing them next to the Minichamps it's clear they're not. Either that or they just couldn't be bothered with Paul Belmondo's Pacific...

Someone explained that the rights for using Badoers name were with Ferrari, and Ferrari had an exclusivity contract with another model manufacturer.
