Oh sorry. I thought there's another team going through a takeover.

Edit: There is: Sunshine. Which shouldn't effect anything.

Round 7: Magny-Cours GP - France

Weather forecast: Dry

1. Poppy Whitechapel (GRM) -- 1.12.336 - 10 points
2. Jean-Luch Schiller (Prospec) -- 1.13.045 (+0.709) - 8 points
3. David Neuberg (Mitie) -- 1.13.254 (+0.918) - 6 points
4. Ron Mignolet (Acuri) -- 1.13.343 (+1.007) - 5 points
5. Frank Zimmer (GRM) -- 1.13.345 (+1.009) - 4 points

8. Matthias Valsattis (Mitie) -- 1.13.549 (+1.213) - 1 point

17. Gio van Dycke (Shonan) -- 1.15.803 (+3.467)
18. Darren Older Jr (Tropico) -- 1.16.593 (+4.257)

GRM made their pre-qualifying debut and qualified with ease, thanks to Poppy Whitechapel setting the fastest time and her teammate Frank Zimmer in 5th. Pemberton Prostec took part in their 4th session and will now claim their points at the end of the year. Sadly for Prospec, they failed to qualify as Cameron fell outside the top 8. The Trueba team were now officially knows as Scuderia Trueba Alitalia, after the teams buy-out by Alastair Lindsey, and both drivers picked up useful points. The biggest cheer however, were to be found in the Mitie Aviation camp. After Neuberg again impressed, settin the third fastest time. Valsattis went two tenths quicker on his last lap to post the 8th fastest time, pipping both Acuri and Prospec by mere hundreths to put the team into the main qualifying draw. Of the rest, Andrea Acuri struggled, setting a time outside the top 8. The eight remaining places were again taken up by Mecha, Shonan, Dofacso and the awful Tropico team. Both Shonan and Tropico had already written off this year, and are concentrating on saving their money for next year.

Hey, I decided to update the cup standings as AdrianSutil hasn't done it yet.

F1RWRS 2014 - ROUND 8 - BRITISH GP - BRANDS HATCH

1. Phoenix McAllister (Phoenix) -- 1.17.405 - 10 points
2. Ron Mignolet (Acuri) -- 1.18.028 (+0.623) - 8 points
3. James Davies (Mecha) -- 1.18.983 (+1.578) - 6 points
4. David Koczo (Trueba) -- 1.19.036 (+1.631) - 5 points
5. Gary Cameron (Prospec) -- 1.19.117 (+1.712) - 4 points
6. Sebastian Groves (Dofasco) -- 1.19.470 (+2.065) - 3 points
7. Matthias Valsattis (Mitie) -- 1.19.593 (+2.188) - 2 points
8. Tomislaw Tajner (Dofasco) -- 1.19.837 (+2.432) - 1 point
9. Andrea Acuri (Acuri) -- 1.20.164 (+2.759)
10. David Neuberg (Mitie) -- 1.20.203 (+2.798)
11. The Stig (Phoenix) -- 1.20.294 (+2.889)
12. Francois Albertini (Shonan) -- 1.20.888 (+3.483)
13. Jean Luc Schiller (Prospec) -- 1.20.926 (+3.521)
14. Dave Simpson (Trueba) -- 1.20.932 (+3.527)
15. Saeed Al Faisal (Mecha) -- 1.20.936 (+3.531)
16. Gio Van Dycke (Shonan) -- 1.22.392 (+4.987)
17. Miko Fakkinen (Tropico) -- 1.23.153 (+5.749)
18. Darren Older Jr (Tropico) -- 1.25.981 (+8.576)

At Brands Hatch, it seemed not all teams could get both cars score points in the PreQ cup. Only Dofasco could manage to nail a double points result, which took the team closer to the others in front. Aside from that, it was Phoenix McAllister's dominance, who finished 6 tenths ahead of Mignolet, who in return almost finished a full second ahead of James Davies. Koczo, Cameron, Groves, Valsattis and Tajner rounded out the point finishers' list. McAllister's win only took two points out of Acuri's lead, so there's still 14 points to work down, if the Phoenix team is planning to bring the PreQ cup home after the 2014 season.
From 12th to 15th, it was a close call between Albertini (whose result still earned Shonan no points, making them the only prominent team in PreQ to not score a single point), Schiller, Simpson and Al Faisal, as there was only 0.048 between the four of them.

Pre-Qualifying Cup Standings - Round 8:

Teams marked with an * have yet to compete in four pre-qualifying rounds.

1. Acuri - 69pts
2. Phoenix - 55pts
3. Scuderia Trueba - 38pts
4. Prospec - 32pts
5. Mitie - 18pts
6. Sunshine - 16pts*

8. MRT - 15pts*
9. Jones - 14pts*

How much prize money is awarded for 3rd and 4th in this? I may need the cash desperately and it seems I will be dueling with Prospec for 3rd for the rest of the season.

F1RWRS 2014 - ROUND 9 - GERMAN GP - Norisring

1. Jesus Plaza (ARC) -- 47.291 - 10 points
2. Rhys Davies (HRT) -- 47.411 (+0.120) - 8 points
3. Fredo Mestolio (ARC) -- 47.758 (+0.467) - 6 points
4. Dean O´Lauchlan (HRT) -- 47.760 (+0.469) - 5 points
5. Jean Luc Schiller (Prospec) -- 47.994 (+0.703) - 4 points
6. Gary Cameron (Prospec) -- 48.417 (+1.126) - 3 points
7. David Koczo (Trueba) -- 48.469 (+1.178) - 2 points
8. Matthias Valsattis (Mitie) -- 48.510 (+1.219) - 1 point
9. James Davies (Mecha) -- 48.544 (+1.253)
10. Darren Older Jr (Trueba) -- 48.755 (+1.464)
11. David Neuberg (Mitie) -- 48.916 (+1.625)
12. Steven Mackintosh (Mecha) -- 49.009 (+1.718)
13. Tomislaw Tajner (Dofasco) -- 49.091 (+1.800)
14. Gio Van Dycke (Shonan) -- 49.132 (+1.841)
15. Francois Albertini (Shonan) -- 49.299 (+2.008)
16. Sebastian Groves (Dofasco) -- 49.626 (+2.335)
17. Leonhard Von Gottorp (Tropico) -- 49.970 (+2.679)
18. Miko Fakkinen (Tropico) -- 50.261 (+2.970)

Since Acuri and Phoenix have been lifted from pre-qualifying, two teams had to be put in their places. Welcome ARC and HRT, who scored the first four places. But with ARC skipping round 10, it is very possible to see the HRT drivers scoring another two digit points haul next round. Jesus Plaza has taken the win here ahead of Rhys Davies, and behind them, their team-mates had only 0.002 between them. Close call. In the close-to-Noah Ark's grid, Prospec scored another seven points, getting them one point behind Scuderia Trueba. David Koczo scored two points for Trueba, Valsattis got one for Mitie, and after them, it was still very close, as 11 drivers (from Cameron to Albertini) was within one second! Sebastian Groves achieved a rejectful time finishing behind both Shonan cars. Von Gottorp and Fakkinen filled up the last two places in Tropico.

Pre-Qualifying Cup Standings - Round 9:

Teams marked with an * have yet to compete in four pre-qualifying rounds.

1. Acuri - 69pts
2. Phoenix - 55pts
3. Scuderia Trueba - 40pts
4. Prospec - 39pts

F1RWRS 2014 - ROUND 10 - BELGIAN GP - Spa

1. Ron Mignolet (Acuri) -- 2.01.602 -- 10 points
2. Rhys Davies (HRT) -- 2.04.085 (+2.483) -- 8 points
3. David Neuberg (Mitie) -- 2.04.287 (+2.685) -- 6 points
4. Gary Cameron (Prospec) -- 2.04.770 (+3.168) -- 5 points
5. David Koczo (Trueba Alitalia) -- 2.05.051 (+3.449) -- 4 points
6. James Davies (Mecha) -- 2.05.658 (+4.056) -- 3 points
7. Andrea Acuri (Acuri) -- 2.06.133 (+4.531) -- 2 points
8. Steven Mackintosh (Mecha) -- 2.06.216 (+4.614) -- 1 point
9. Dean O´Lauchlan (HRT) -- 2.06.251 (+4.649)
10. Tomislaw Tajner (Dofasco) -- 2.07.255 (+5.653)
11. Leonhard Von Gottorp (Tropico) -- 2.07.366 (+5.764)
12. Francois Albertini (Shonan) -- 2.07.373 (+5.771)
13. Sebastian Groves (Dofasco) -- 2.07.616 (+6.014)
14. Matthias Valsattis (Mitie) -- 2.08.058 (+6.456)
15. Jean Luc Schiller (Prospec) -- 2.08.293 (+6.691)
16. Darren Older Jr (Trueba Alitalia) -- 2.10.545 (+8.943)
17. Gio Van Dycke (Shonan) -- 2.11.332 (+9.730)
18. Miko Fakkinen (Tropico) -- 2.15.747 (+14.145)

This is what rain does, absolutely having a difference in some aspects of the prequalification results. Still, a usual suspect in an Acuri was out at the front, in such a dominant way that Mignolet had almost 2 and a half seconds on Rhys Davies! Since Acuri is going to skip the next preq round, while having a 26-point lead, don't bet on them losing the lead after round 11. The HRT cars also got through, following Acuri's "one driver in front, one a bit behind" trend. Heartbreaks though for Mitie, Prospec and Trueba Alitalia: despite the efforts of Neuberg, Cameron and Koczo, their teammates let them down, as all three of them has been beaten by a Shonan and a Tropico car, no less! Mecha scored four points in sixth and eigth. We now haven't seen the usual suspects of Shonan and Tropico along the bottom two rows.

Pre-Qualifying Cup Standings - Round 10:

Teams marked with an * have yet to compete in four pre-qualifying rounds.

1. Acuri - 81pts
2. Phoenix - 55pts
3. Scuderia Trueba - 44pts

18. Leonhard Von Gottorp (Tropico) -- 1.35.800 (+5.840)

** ARC will skip Pre-Qualifying at Round 12.

ARC dominance, easily putting themselves in the first two places, propelling the team up to fifth in the cup. Acuri seems to have a big lead over fellow non-prequalifying Phoenix, but Prospec took over Trueba with one single point, and these two teams might deal it out for the second position, or maybe the first one too. HRT scored six points, Mitie and Trueba scored four and Mecha scored two. Not much difference though.

1. Acuri - 81pts
2. Phoenix - 55pts
3. Prospec - 49pts
4. Scuderia Trueba - 48pts
5. ARC - 34pts* (2 rounds)
6. Mitie - 27pts

11. MRT - 15pts*
12. Jones - 14pts*

And now to catch up, here's #12:

F1RWRS 2014 - Round 12 - MEDITERRANEAN GP - Akrotiri Bay

17. Leonhard Von Gottorp (Tropico) -- 1.26.543 (+5.291)
18. Miko Fakkinen (Tropico) -- 1.26.715 (+5.463)

** HRT will skip Pre-Qualifying at Round 13

1. Acuri - 81pts
2. Phoenix - 68pts
3. Prospec - 58pts
4. Scuderia Trueba - 50pts
5. HRT - 41pts
6. ARC - 34pts* (2 rounds)
7. Mitie - 27pts
8. Mecha - 23pts
9. Sunshine - 16pts*
=. Foxdale - 16pts*
11. MRT - 15pts*
12. Jones - 14pts*
=. GRM - 14pts*
14. Dofasco - 11pts
15. Shonan - A big, fat 0!

Look, who's back! It's the Phoenix team, back in prequalifying, seems like they will be competing for the trophy in the end after all, seeing that Acuri is now shockingly close. HRT scored a hefty 14-point haul in their fourth round, so now they are also eligible. It was HRT, Phoenix and Prospec in the top six, with a Trueba and a Mecha car filling out the top eight, this means Mitie scored nothing this time around. Trueba seems to slowly drop back in fourth position, while Acuri now only has 13 points on Phoenix, with Prospec a further ten behind.

F1RWRS 2014 - ROUND 13/16 - NORTH SEA GP - Zandvoort

2. Phoenix McAllister (Phoenix) -- 1.25.108 (+0.364) -- 8 points
3. The Stig (Phoenix) -- 1.25.298 (+0.554) -- 6 points
4. James Davies (Mecha) -- 1.25.984 (+1.240) -- 5 points
5. David Koczo (Trueba) -- 1.25.985 (+1.241) -- 4 points
6. Gary Cameron (Prospec) -- 1.26.227 (+1.483) -- 3 points
7. Poppy Whitechapel (GRM) -- 1.26.427 (+1.683) -- 2 points
8. Tomislaw Tajner (Dofasco) -- 1.26.506 (+1.762) -- 1 point
9. Jean Luc Schiller (Prospec) -- 1.26.512 (+1.768)
10. David Neuberg (Mitie) -- 1.26.883 (+2.139)
11. Gio Van Dycke (Shonan) -- 1.26.918 (+2.174)
12. Matthias Valsattis (Mitie) -- 1.27.399 (+2.655)
13. Steven Mackintosh (Mecha) -- 1.27.432 (+2.688)
14. Francois Albertini (Shonan) -- 1.27.963 (+3.219)
15. Darren Older Jr (Trueba) -- 1.28.081 (+3.337)
16. Miko Fakkinen (Tropico) -- 1.28.283 (+3.539)
17. Sebastian Groves (Dofasco) -- 1.28.320 (+3.576)
18. Leonhard Van Gottorp (Tropico) -- 1.29.410 (+4.666)

** Phoenix will skip Pre-Qualifying at Round 14.

Phoenix brought a double podium finish in preq, but Frank Zimmer took the fastest time around Zandvoort, beating his own teammate with a whopping 1.683 seconds. James Davies in the Mecha finished only centimeters ahead of David Koczo's Trueba, having a .001 lead on him! Gary Cameron put the Prospec in sixth ahead of the slightly disappointing Whitechapel and the surprise result achiever Tajner in the Dofasco. Schiller in 9th is not far behind, but the Mitie cars have been awfully off the points here: 10th and 12th for Neuberg and Valsattis respectively. Between them is another surprise, as Van Dycke has finished only 4 tenths out of points in 11th with one of the worst - if not the worst - car ever in the field. Mackintosh seemed deadbeat, as well as Sebastian Groves.

1. Phoenix - 82pts
2. Acuri - 81pts
3. Prospec - 61pts
4. Scuderia Trueba - 54pts
5. HRT - 41pts
6. ARC - 34pts* (2 rounds)
7. Mecha - 28pts
8. Mitie - 27pts
9. GRM - 26pts* (2 rounds)
10. Sunshine - 16pts*
=. Foxdale - 16pts*
12. MRT - 15pts*
13. Jones - 14pts*
14. Dofasco - 12pts
15. Shonan - 0

And Phoenix has taken over the lead by a single point, but since they will skip the next round, it might turn around in favour to Acuri again! Prospec and Trueba seem to lag behind to fight for the third place, GRM has jumped up to 9th, Mecha did the same to go up to 7th. Dofasco's one extra point didn't lift them higher.

Nah, last year's CR car takes the cake on that one. Hell, it was so slow that MRT ran Vidal Freaking Reyna-Sanchez in the crapbox that was the M4 at Dallas and still be confident of qualifying for the race

Foxdale have only competed in one round, and with only two left, they are now ruled out of this.

F1RWRS 2014 - ROUND 15 - CHINESE GP - Shanghai Pudong

1.Phoenix McAllister (Phoenix) -- 57.707 -- 10 points
2.Du Lei (Prospec) -- 57.898 (+0.191) -- 8 points
3.David Koczo (Trueba Alitalia) -- 58.328 (+0.621) -- 6 points
4.Poppy Whitechapel (GRM) -- 58.334 (+0.627) -- 5 points
5.Frank Zimmer (GRM) -- 58.405 (+0.698) -- 4 points
6.The Stig (Phoenix) -- 58.478 (+0.771) -- 3 points
7.Steven Mackintosh (Mecha) -- 58.551 (+0.844) -- 2 points
8.Jean Luc Schiller (Prospec) -- 58.559 (+0.852) -- 1 point
9.David Neuberg (Mitie) -- 58.943 (+1.236)
10.Francois Albertini (Shonan) -- 59.257 (+1.550)
11.Darren Older Jr (Trueba Alitalia) -- 59.369 (+1.662)
12.Gio Van Dycke (Shonan) -- 59.369 (+1.695)
13.Ashley Watkinson (Mitie) -- 59.444 (+1.737)
14.Tomislaw Tajner (Dofasco) -- 59.448 (+1.741)
15.James Davies (Mecha) -- 59.473 (+1.766)
16.Sebastian Groves (Dofasco) -- 59.560 (+1.853)
17.Leonhard Von Gottorp (Tropico) -- 1.00.677 (+2.970)
18.Miko Fakkinen (Tropico) -- 1.01.453 (+3.746)

Basically the usual suspects in the front, but again, it was only one Trueba Alitalia driver, who scored points, while team mate Older Jr finished BEHIND a Shonan driver.

1. Acuri - 95pts
=. Phoenix - 95pts
3. Prospec - 71pts
4. Scuderia Trueba - 66pts
5. GRM - 46pts
5. HRT - 41pts
7. ARC - 34pts* (2 rounds)
8. Mitie - 32pts
9. Mecha - 30pts
10. Sunshine - 16pts*
=. Foxdale - 16pts*
12. MRT - 15pts*
13. Dofasco - 14pts
=. Jones - 14pts*
15. Shonan - 0

It's going to be a two-team shootout for the win between Acuri and Phoenix, while the third place is going to be probably Prospec's, but the Trueba Alitalia team still have a word on that.
The teams who have not participated in four rounds are ARC, Sunshine, Foxdale, MRT and Jones, as GRM has participated for the fourth time in Shanghai.

Can somebody please remind me how credits are allocated for the PreQualifying cup?

Winner - 150 credits
2nd - 100 credits
3rd - 75 credits
4th - 50 credits
5th - 30 credits
6th - 20 credits
every other team - 10 credits

Are you sure that´s right?

EDIT: I knew this was wrong; this is the corrected prize structure:

PreQ cup winner - 100 cr
2nd - 70
3rd - 40
Every other points scorer (and classified -ie: Teams that competed in at least 4 rounds) - 20

When did the prize money change? I copied the original prize structure from an earlier post in this thread.

I second that statement because I'm pretty sure that's what in the regulations as well.

Scuderia Alitalia would like to make a point of insisting that if the first of the two mentioned prize structures was indeed the original announced by the F1RWRS Commission, it should be the one enforced instead of this newer version.

The newer version was announced and briefly discussed in the main F1RWRS thread MONTHS AGO. If you failed to catch with that it's not my fault. Basically it changed because the prize structure proposed by Adriansutil in the first place empowered the PreQ teams too much having in count the changes in the tv money structure.
Adriansutil announced that prize structure without even communicating or discussing in the first place with the F1RWRS commission or the F1RTA.

If it's not in the regulations, it doesn't officially exist. I actually checked them 5 minutes ago and there's nothing on their about either credit system

Interesting. The question is, can the F1RWRS Commission just make up whatever they like, or will it go to an F1RTA vote? If it's the former I can see a rioting group of slow teams forming and burning down Madrid one building at a time

The slow teams are so slow they might be arriving to Madrid in 2020 or so

The prize money should be something down to the approval of the F1RWRS commission, as it affects how the game plays.

I suggest AdrainSutil to put an (*) in the standings to those teams which haven´t raced at 4 PreQ events yet.

By the way, this is price money awarded to PreQ cup winners:

Winner - 150 credits
2nd - 100 credits
3rd - 75 credits
4th - 50 credits
5th - 30 credits
6th - 20 credits
every other team - 10 credits

This was the original prize structure, posted by... Aerond.

I can't even remember discussing the new structure, or was it one of those 'new rule with immediate effect' jobs?

I changed the structure when the new Tv and championship prize money came in and it no longer made sense to give that much to PreQ teams considering they are going to earn more through Tv money.

Yeah I seem to kinda remember something like that now. With the amount of posts being made in the F1RWRS thread on a daily basis, I'm not surprised most of us may have missed/forgotten/didn't pay enough attention to it. And the fact it wasn't actually posted in the pre-q thread. But it's there now so no harm done I suppose.

Argh, I forgot about all the changes to TV money and stuff. This makes all the calculations I've done for the off-season wrong and irrelevant

Beware Prospec - I've just hired Dave Simpson back, and with Koczo doing so well on his own lately, your team could end up losing 3rd at the death

I don't know, I haven't re-calculated it yet . I need to refresh my memory of how the system actually works first. A job for tomorrow.

Kostas, we're prepared for the challenge (and hopeful that Du Lei replicates her China form and not her Macau form )

As for pre-q battles, there's a good one between Mitie/Kingfisher and MechaGP, with only 2 points in it. Both teams seem very similar in driver skill and everything else so the final round will be interesting.
