I believe in German BARawnda-Tyrrell-Simca(and it's working)

the only difference between the roman gladiators and racing drivers is that racing drivers sit inside the lion that is trying to kill them.

I never had F1 95, i'm not quite that old.

That does give me the urge to play GP4 1994 mod though, although I uninstalled GP4. I may download it for F1 Challenge.

Goddammit, even a WHIFF of Joe Satriani and I'll be running to F1 95 like a speeding bullet. Love his stuff, seriously.

Case in point.

I've discovered Warpaint. Burgundy and Elephants are a couple of great songs.

Arctic Monkeys covering Nick Cave.

That's my new resolution for this year; start listening to the Bad Seeds properly.

Yes, that games coming my way in a week or so!!!! The nostalgia associated with that is unreal- admitedly I only got it in 2004 (when I was 8), but that game, along with F1 1997, formed a large part of my childhood

I guess that 95% of the board know Hulk Hogan. But what percentage knows that Hogan recorded an actual album in the mid 90's, including some rapping (!) by Hogan? Like here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2ndIhkA_ss

Bonus points for ripping off Owen Hart's theme.

When I saw that car at the start of the video, I immediately thought, "Lightening McQueen."

It's actually a similar Viper to the one, Hogan used at his "parade", when he signed with WCW. That's right; a parade (!) at Disneyland (!!), with confetti (!!!)! Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a video on YouTube. :(

What amazes me most is that despite being posted on the official VEVO channel, the video looks and sounds as it was ripped from a somewhat worn VHS tape. Did they not have the original master tapes to digitize it from? Or did they do it on purpose?

If YouTube and the internet had been as widespread in the mid-1990s as it is now, would the Macarena have been the the first to get to a billion views? They both have men in suits, singing in a language other than English, with a catchy tune, pretty women, and a very popular dance associated with it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiBYM6g8Tck

They were probably just lazy, although you can make a case that the VEVO video sounds more "retro" than the CD recording. Also, I raise your Falco with MOAR FALCO!

Here's another trashy song. Football player Lothar Matthäus (Yes, THE Lothas Matthäus) SINGS A GERMAN FOLK SONG! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Z6HJFNlo1M

Embarassed to be from the same town as this man. This is so awful it seems off-topic in a music thread.

Though, to be fair, that remix is awesome enough that it should be included on every page.

I didn't realise that. They're usually grouped with the Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and Inspiral Carpets, so I just assumed they were from Manchester.

Early 90s shoegaze, with a band that had not one, but TWO fantastic female guitarists.

Always erks me slightly that shoegaze was crushed by grunge music.

Make any music as horrific as JV did, Nico, and I will hit you one more time. At least.
