That's actually a good attempt. I had the problem once of not being patient and not curving the lines more to make a track more realistic, as there are a few very sharp corners, but other than that the track looks awesome! Build it now! :D

that rome circuit looks great!
also for that 'pegua track to work, the eastern part of the circuit pictured would have to still exist. unfortunately, that satellite shot is outdated by a few years, and what currently sits there now is the Olympic Venue for 2016.
I believe in German BARawnda-Tyrrell-Simca(and it's working)

I just had to do a redesign when the shot was a few years outdated anyway. I was bored, especially when you look at my descriptions of the last two, just looking up names of Italian legends. Oh, anyone who knows of the circuit I found after looking up Ascari, I'd like to know some mire about it, if any can be found. Thank you.

Whenever I get bored at my job and don't have any customers to take care of, I doodle in my notepad. Recently, I've been drawing racetracks for some reason. The more "intricate" the detail, the more time I had to waste. The blue is the runoff area.

Image
Image

Top left: My attempt at a "fast" circuit with flowing corners. And an arena section. Looking back, I imagine the Turn 10-11-12 complex would be a real pain for passing. And it looks like I put the grandstands on top of the garages. Can that actually happen?

Top right: First track I drew. I literally drew the front straight, closed my eyes, and tried to draw a track. I opened my eyes, looked at it, threw it away and started over. No logic went into this one; it was just "well what if I put a hairpin here and followed it up with a chicane! Ooh I'm playing with fire here!" Once again, the third sector looks pretty poor, what with those never-ending curves and all. I was at least hoping the first sector would be nice and fast. I'm not sure it would end up like that, though.

Bottom left: This one started with just the Indianapolis corner onto the front straight and the chicane before it. This is what I imagine Road Atlanta would look like if it were squished to look like a microscope. Actually, I like how this turned out. I think the esses before the hairpin are cool, and I like the Indy turn followed by a long straightaway and then another tight hairpin. With this one, however, I forgot to make room for the garages again. Oops.

Bottom right: My most recent one. The only thing I had in mind was that the first two and the last two corners would be chicanes so that drivers could pull straight into the pits. A fun little gimmick. Also my goal was to draw a track that didn't have fast sweeping turns and would require more downforce. A good go-karting track. Something Tilke might draw. I ended up drawing Catalunya with a tumor. I don't even.
...in bed.

I like that circuit that you've posted there Rocks With Salt. It has a nice variety of corners and looks decent for racing.

Nice circuit there. It has the normal features of a street track with a little extra added to it. Good work.

Not entirely pointless in my opinion, you've created another overtaking spot at the end of the Boulevard des Moulins.

I think the straight at the Boulevard de Moulins is a bit short, but moving the harbour chicane backwards improves an overtaking spot after the exit of the tunnel. Also the left hander where Rascasse was should be spectacular. But why did you narrow the first part of the swimming pool chicane? This fast chicane is one of my favourite parts of the circuit and I see no need for another slow chicane.

I didn't mean to edit it, I tried to follow the original track since the normal road didn't look quite right and failed horribly. Pretend it's the normal chicane.

Me again! I've been working more hours since I'm on winter break for another two weeks, which gives me more time to goof off and draw more tracks!

First one: completely forgettable. I didn't even bother drawing the inner runoff areas for this one.

The second one, however... I love it. This is by far my favorite so far. Obviously I took Interlagos as inspiration, but I started using the two long straights a la Korea and went from there. I also like it because, although there is no way I can draw it, there are elevation changes! Hence the lack of runoff areas around the track; armco barriers as far as the eye can see! Choosing the clockwise configuration, the circuit noticeably descends into what I call "The Pit" from from the first hairpin, which I liken to Ramsey Hairpin on the Isle of Man TT circuit, only descending instead of ascending. It is called The Pit because behind the armco barriers are steep embankments several meters high where the outer portions of the circuit sit. This allows the fans in the grandstands to see almost the entire track before them, especially those in the start/finish stands! Anyway, rounding Delaware corner the descent into The Pit continues until we reach The Boot complex, which is the lowest point on the circuit. The track then begins to noticeably gain elevation as drivers go through the left-right-right complex before reaching the Spoon curve onto the longest straightaway. The Spoon curve is just below the front straightaway in terms of elevation, and drivers must get this corner right or else they'll lose massively on the long, rev-limiting straight. From there, drivers round the A1 and A2 corners (There's more runoff area than what I originally drew, trust me) onto the second straightaway before braking into the right-left complex and finally accelerating through the sweeping right-hander onto the start/finish straight, which is the highest point on the circuit.

I can't help but feel really proud of this one! What do you guys think? :D
...in bed.

That's a good layout in a well-thoguht out area now that the stadium isn't going to be used, but I don't like Oakland for a street race due to the high crime rate in the city.

That's a very nice layout there Benetton. It might not have as much flow to it, but it still has the characteristics I like to see in a race track - overtaking opportunities.

More tracks from me coming soon. Creating a completely random pack of them.

Nice that you tried my city, but the streets in the center are way too small, thats why i avoided them when i tried.

Anyway, tried my hands on a new track in Genk, which involves some nice scenery of local forests, industrial heritage sites (a coal mine) it's ridiculously long, and it features some dangerous corners where i've seen many cars end up in the woods, but it's a nice environment.

Port of Antwerp tilkedrome, but the city itself would be happy with that location, actually.

Herstappe: Because a city of 85 citizens is commercially very interesting for Formula 1. The thing doesn't have more roads than this, so there's not much of alternative versions possible.

I haven't done the feedback job in quite a while, so I've decided to go back to it.

Skopje is awesome. Although the curvy bits in the first kilometer I'm not too sure of. 8 out of 10.

Malta is good with complexity and would probably be fun to drive, but it seems as if there are no overtaking opportunities. 6 out of 10.

Haifa. I like the layout, but the chicanes look very dodgy though. 7 out of 10.

Steep looks like a track that came out of Gran Turismo 5's Course Maker. 5 out of 10.

I like the layout of the Park there. Just needs a little bit extra. 8 out of 10.

Ingolstadt is a fair 10 out of 10. Just an awesome street circuit layout, not to mention it has street circuit characteristics that aren't street circuit characteristics.

Love Nuns' Island there. 9.5 out of 10. I don't know, I felt that it needed maybe another good curve or 2 but it is a great layout nonetheless.

St. Helens island would not be a good replacement for Gilles Villeneuve across the St. Lawrance. 2 out of 10. Don't like the sharp turns at all.

Now time for my randomness, which includes 28 tracks. (It surprises me how many tracks I've been making lately)

Leimer: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=6208886 (turns 2 and 3 were originally a bit sharper both in radius and angle, and turn 4 not easy flat, but I accidentally closed the page)

UgncreativeUsergname, some of those tracks looks better than a typical Tilke design, but others were a little meh. The ones that were neither were just bland. Although considering the locations, I understand why you made the tracks the way you did.

When I look up a place completely random to place a track (see my track called failure above), I find the place, and try my best to find a suitable area for a track near it. I guess in terms of my Failure track, I failed on that

I understand it's to make a better track, and that's good; but that, to me, is cheating :P
