IRA has decided to sell its 25% of the intellectual property of the Cooper T41 for £25,000. The buyer will be able to build their own T41 chassis (a Tier 1 1955 design) and will also be eligible for 25% of the WCC prize money it is awarded. The buyer will also get a free Cooper T40 chassis kindly donated to us by ENB to do with as they please.

Would it bankrupt BRUNEL to do this deal?

The Telegraph wrote:END OF AN ERA - Jaguar-Aston Martin Racing to be Disbanded

The airwaves of London were a buzz on Friday with the announcement that Jaguar and Aston Martin were formally ending their association with Formula motor racing, bringing an end to the near-ubiquitous Jaguar-Aston Martin Racing operation. The two-time championship winning organisation has struggled in 1955 with on-track performance and off-track dramas such as the mysterious break-ins during the off-season and an altercation after the British Grand Prix which put star drivers Dries van der Lof and B. Bira in hospital for the remainder of the year. These events coupled with the tragic accident at Le Mans, involving one of Jaguar's sports cars, meant the decision was made to end the program at the conclusion of the 1955 season.

With the end of the program, it's believed that the British sports car manufacturer Lotus has acquired the remains of the Aston Martin factory and relocate to their headquarters in Hornley, while the Jaguar engine program is expected to be sold to automotive engineering firm Coventry Climax.

With that, the following changes will occur:
- Once prize money has been distributed, Aston Martin's assets and cash will be transferred to Team Lotus, based in Hornley
- Jaguar's assets and money will be then transferred to Coventry Climax, run by another user pending confirmation
- Pending final budgets, Team Lotus is interested in purchasing the 25% share of the Cooper T41 intellectual property from IRA

Update on the T41 deal: IRA has decided to put the T40 up for auction, though I'm sure any parties interested in the T41 IP aren't particularly fussed about that...

Right, I've spent too long procrastinating.

Here's the post-season auction! This is where you can purchase discounted chassis and engines without having to deal with other people!

All intact assets of bankrupted teams are entered in this auction, with proceeds going towards post-season prize money. Any other team can also sell their waresif they're desperate enough, proceeds going to themselves.

Two differences compared with last year's auction:
-From now on, teams will have the opportunity to sell components to "private collectors". If a component is intact but cannot be sold, it can be removed from the game with a compensation of 50% of the component's original build cost, as opposed to the 10% compensation for scrapping a damaged car.
-In consequence, there will be a minimum bid for this auction set at precisely the 50% of build cost that a "private collector" would buy the car for. If no bids are made on a car, then the car is either removed from the game for that amount of money, or the owner (if not bankrupt) can pull the car from the auction and keep it.
-Damaged components are not subjected to this minimum bid, however, and do not have a starting price.

Here are the components currently up for auction and their respective bids:

OSCA will repair their damaged chassis (but not the damaged engine) and will put all assets up for auction. However, we advise our customers who can afford it to wait for the new OSCA chassis and engine that will debut in 1956.

All the remaining money from Guidobaldi, their assets, intellectual properties and so on will be transfered to Loonmotor. Then, Guidobaldi will cease to exist. Salamander agreed to this deal a few days ago. There is one condition to this deal, the combo Guidobaldi FG01 chassis 2 - Mercedes Benz UM153 engine 14 has to end up in a museum.
