I playes F1 2012 in Career mode and started at Marussia, when Toro Rosso called me up to drive for them. Pic took my place at Marussia and in Singapore (in a 100% race) Pic managed to finish 8th out of 13 who finished. (I was 5th in the Toro Rosso, while Daniel only got 9th behind Pic) Obviously Marussia secured 10th place in the Constructors by the end of the season. Now, in the 2nd season, Marussia moved up the grid and are solid midfield contenders, and Force India now languish 4 seconds of the pace with the HRTs and Caterhams :-D
In my career mode HRT was 4th at the constructors championship and Red Bull are struggling for points. Also, Karthikeyan has scored 18 points.

I'm calling BS on that. I mean, that picture obviously implies the game lasted longer than 15 seconds without crashing :P

I watched a YouTube video of an rFactor race set in Montreal with 2000-spec F1 cars and it was so funny.
- Multiple cars, including both Ferraris and Jacques Villeneuve roll over on the kerbs at the last chicane and hit the Wall of Champions!
- Ralf leads in the Williams before blowing up near the end
- Midfield drivers such as Trulli, de la Rosa, Irvine, Salo and Villeneuve run in the top 3 before retiring as well
- Hakkinen's engine blows and causes a big crash almost identical to Kubica's in 2007, and it was in the same spot!
- Prost momentarily run 1-2 with their dreadful machines, before Alesi predictably blows up
- All this leads to the Minardis of Mazzacane and Gene BOTH finishing on the PODIUM!!!

I can't say it's only in a game, as it really happened.

But the same happened in a pre-qualifying session I ran on F1 Challenge's 1991 mod at Magny Cours. AGS were once again the unlucky team, as Olivier Grouillard bumped Gabriele Tarquini out of the top 4 by 0.001 seconds.

I had been running this since the 1988 season, which explains why AGS are pre-qualifiers.

Also, we did a multiplayer race at Canada, and blocked the track. Bruni won and HWNSBNM was second 8-)

I actually don't know. They we're on the same setup and one the same type of tyres, so I have no idea how he was 14 seconds slower than Sospiri.

Yeah, I've once had a downpour and guess what?

-Fortis 3-5
-Simteks 1-4
-Pacifics 2-6
-Both Benettons and a Ferrari DNQ:ing
-A massive field spread: 2 minutes

That was with the 1995 mod. Here are the team/driver lineups for 2001:

Simtek-Renault: G C Fisichella & Luca Badoer
Pacific-Mercedes: Domenico Schiattarella & Ukyo Katayama
Forti (in-house engine!): Jean Alesi & Jan Magnussen
Jordan-Mercedes: Taki Inoue & Michael Schumacher
Ferrari: Gerhard Berger & Mika Häkkinen
Benetton-Ford (the team I controlled): Johnny Herbert & Mika Salo
Williams-Forti: David Coulthard & Rubens Barrichello
Ligier-Mercedes: Olivier Panis & Pedro Diniz
McLaren (in-house engine!): Damon Hill & Pierluigi Martini
Minardi-Peugeot: Heinz-Harald Frentzen & Roberto Moreno
Footwork (in-house engine!): Mark Blundell & Jean-Cristophe Boullion
Sauber-Renault (8 sec off the pace since 1997 :) ): Nigel Mansell & Andrea Montermini

I don't understand why Sauber is still keeping Mansell. His salary is 1.5x more than anyone else's on the grid, and he's sometimes outpaced by... wait for it... his own teammate! :P

EDIT: I've got F1C 99-02 from my friend now. I've played it for 5 hours now, and here are some odd things about it. (I've only done the 1999 season)

-Hill stalled in 8 of the 16 races
-After he stalled, I crashed into him 3 times
-Gene won a race
-Badoer scored points
-Häkkinen didn't win a race but still won the championship
-Villeneuve only finished twice
-Both of Villeneuve's finishes were podiums
-The Stewarts crashed into each other twice
-Only 2 cars finished the Belgian GP

I ran a 20% wet race at Adelaide on F1 Challenge's 1989 mod, and Philippe Alliot almost won.

In fact, Larrousse, AGS and Coloni all scored a better result than the team ever managed in real life.

1. Patrese
2. Alliot
3. Piquet
4. Alesi
5. Tarquini
6. Palmer
7. Moreno

I started a new GPM2 game a couple of weeks ago using a slightly modified version of the 2001 mod. The team and driver list for the 2005 season looks very, very interesting...

McLaren-Mercedes (my team!): Häkkinen/R Schumacher
Williams-Acer: Trulli/Button
Ferrari: M Schumacher/Montoya
Sauber-Asiatech: Coulthard/Burti
Jordan-Renault: Massa/Barrichello
Minardi-Cosworth: Yoong/Zlobin
Renault: Herbert/Alonso
Prost-Honda: Tuero/Heidfeld
BAR-European: Frentzen/Räikkönen
Jaguar: Villeneuve/Fisichella
Arrows-Cosworth: Tracy/Mazzacane
Toyota: Verstappen/Allmendinger
Lamborghini: Salo/Enge

No, there isn't, so the only way you can play it is to install something like Parallels Desktop (what I am using). I also have a Mac, but I run Windows alongside it with Parallels.

Yup, GPM2 is only available for Microsoft Windows (versions 3.1 and up). For any other systems you need to use an emulator.

As this thread is called "Only in a game", it's probably the best place to say that the latest Gran Turismo Vision GT car is finally out today, the Laser-Beam Powered Chaparral 2X :

I've got parallels now (with windows 8) but when I tried installing it I was missing a file (WING32.dll , I think) which was strange because I'm pretty sure that file is in the game. I did a quivk look and found that I sort of have the file (the one I have is WING32.DLL ). Any help?
