Greetings all F1 Rejects readers!
I've been beavering away putting another long interview together, and I'm really pleased to share my latest driver interview, this time with former Grand Prix driver Tim Schenken.
After I met him on the SENNA red carpet at the film's Australian premiere, he kindly gave us a good hour on the phone a few months later. This effectively amounts to one of the very few in-depth career interviews he has ever given.
We talk about all sorts of things, including:
- working for some of the sport's most difficult team bosses (and he's had them all: Ecclestone, Chapman, Ferrari, Dennis, Surtees)
- what it was like to beat team-mate Graham Hill
- what exactly was wrong with the Trojan F1 project
- getting kicked out of a race he wasn't meant to start
- his current work with the FIA and V8 Supercars Australia
