2 Wins out of 3 for Dan Cammish in the 2023 BTCC season-opener and a wet Race 2 sees Tom Chilton score his first win since 2019.

The real star of Race 2 has got to be Nic Hamilton though, finishing in P6, could have been even better if he hadn't run wide a couple of times but still!

It was great to see Nic Hamilton score in BTCC for only the second time in his career. And great to see him as high as 4th. And his brother was in attendance to see him get his best result ever to date. (His parents were seen in the pitlane on TV).

Bit gutted he didn't manage to stay in 4th as he could have scored a podium when Ronan Pearson was excluded (Gutted for him too) but a great performance just the same!

The current rules on track limits in the British Touring Car Championship have got to be among the most farcical rules of recent times, given what happened to Ricky Collard today in Race 3 at Brands Hatch, the fact he didn't receive any warning whatsoever until after he'd crossed the finish line makes it even more rejectful.

Shame to lose Hamilton just before Knockhill but it was great to have Rob Huff back.

Ashley Sutton now has 8 Wins in 2023 with 9 races still to go. Could he equal Alain Menu's record of 12 Wins in 1997?

Gutted for Dan Lloyd, just half a lap away from scoring the first win for the Cupra at Donington Park in the reverse-grid race, but happy for Rory Butcher finally breaking his and Speedworks' 2023 duck.

Mikey Doble on pole for Race 1 at Silverstone.

Colin Turkington wins Race 3 and takes BMW's 150th British Touring Car Championship win!

The title battle is now down to just Sutton and Tingram but with Sutton 45 points ahead, he has one hand on title #4 already.

This could end up being Hondas 1st winless season since 1995. (Excluding 2001 when Honda took a year out and Simon Graves came 1st on the road in his Production Class Honda on 3 occasions)

Not quite.

They're still with us but they'll only run two Cupras in 2024.
