Going into the right Direction

After Casval Rojas got an incredible 8th place in the CART round in France, making Montreal Racing Services recover after a dissastrous race in Germany, things got even brighter as the little canadian team will receive technical help from established team Cassidy Racing. "After what seemed as an unsolvable situation for CART fans, both MRS and CR have reach an understanding." But the real issue of all this could've been the return of Artesia Mass to the cockpit, something that MRS clarify later. "First of all, I want to apologise to Artesia. I wanted to give her another chance, but the reality is that she's been out of the car almost all the season, and that could've been an issue with the rest of the teams. Nevertheless, she will stay as tester and reserve driver. Tsubasa has proven that he can be as quick as Casval, and he will stay in the car for the rest of the season."

While some especulate that Cassidy's aid have something to do with Artesia's current situation inside MRS, the fact is that the canadian squad will be invigored for the rest of the season.

Of course something would happen to Malenfant with three to go. But at least Maroon did very well.
LONG LIVE MARUSSIA

Things I was wrong about:
Kimi to Ferrari, Perez out of McLaren, Maldonado to Lotus, Kobash comes back, Gutierrez stays, Chilton stays, Boullier leaves Lotus.

Genki slow all weekend? Check
Both drivers gain positions from Qually? Check
Being a backmarker in Qually? Check
Having ample funds thanks to finishes in the top ten for such terrible cars? Check
Being Rejectful despite a flood of midfield finishes? Check
I guess this is a successful season.

FSK Racing will pull out after this season. Despite a promising start with multiple points finishes, the string of retirements and non-point finishes that followed has failed to convince the Finanz-Sichereit Konglomerat board of directors to continue funding the team for another season.

I just don't find CART as interesting as ProstGP was.

You know, I'm actually considering running a non-canon 2002 season of PGPS.

Also really sorry that one of your cars (Douglais) was left out, what happened was that I forgot to remove Fushida's car (as Wheldon's ban is over) resulting in 37 cars, so when it selected 36 cars it left out Douglais and kept Fushida

Also no injuries to Lowndes or Tenpecost. :)

Didnt even notice that to be honest....

Although to make up for this, we'd like to be granted special dispensation to run 4 cars at the next round. :)

What I did notice however is that third third JLD car is also missing from the field. :x

Gidley must have either lost bodywork or been down a cylinder to end up 6 laps down. At least his qualifying pace was good. Hearn did what he's done most of the year which is qualify poorly and show decent race pace.

He's a Danger!!
Montreal Racing Services staff was furious after one of their drivers, Tsubasa Portilla, was caught in a heavy crash during the CART Bridgestone Potenza 500 in the Twing Ring Motegi with pole sitter Jaques Malenfant. "Someone said that Artesia was a danger on track?! Well, Malenfant put Tsubasa on the pitwall in a completely idiotic attempt of returning to the pits! The guy didn't even looked into his mirrors as he threw his car over Tsubasa's and sent him right on into the wall head on!! I don't care if he's one of the leading drivers in the championship, what he did deserved a total exclusion from the series! He's a danger for everybody, drivers, pit crew and expectators!!"
At the time, Portilla is still on the Twin Ring's medical center, his condition unknown...

Mignolet really needs to pull himself up by the bootstraps if he wants to be retained for 2003!

Malenfant wishes to make it clear that he made his best efforts to safely exit the track towards pit road when the large pack of cars came up behind him. He dove to the pit lane in order to not have an incident with the larger pack behind him, but Portilla had dove to his inside. Ambrose-Milan Autosport wishes to maintain that this was a racing incident and sincerely wishes that Portilla is fine after this serious accident.

Unfortunately not, I banned anymore 3 car teams and will probably force the existing 3 car teams to choose 2 drivers next season to make it fair and to free the waiting list.

Hooray! Finally Tracy manages to get a win and rockets back up the Driver's Championship from 11th to 7th :D

But Lowndes...well let's just say if he doesn't perform well in the last three races (especially at Australia) he's not going to have his contract renewed next season.

Injuries

Post by Gerudo Dragon »

Both Jorg Scrattenheim and Dietrich Anger will miss the remainder of the season, if one replacement isn't nominated soon then I will put Natascha Zaugg in the car, if the other replacement isn't nominated either I shall put Kenji Katayama in that car.

Next race will be on Friday.

And with that, FSK Racing will announce their formal withdrawal from the series, electing not to compete in Montreal and Fontana. Not only have two of our drivers been injured through the course of the season, but the parent company must also stabilise its finances as a number of poor investments throughout the late 90s and early 00s have caused heavy losses.

With that, Jan Magnussen is released as a free agent.
