It is a shame they couldn't get Loeb down. Not to mention some of the previous ROC specialists such as Ekstrom, Kovalainen and Filipe Albuquerque. Also no Button or Scandanavia team :(

Team Germany should win this, though I would put Seb Ogier as the overall winner again.
Will watch it, on motors tv from 1pm GMT.
But the group stage is ludicrous, Group A is much harder than Group B!

I wish it was back in London and back to the single day format, it really was a great day out.

Why did the organisers stop using Wembley as the venue? I so wanted to go and see it there. :(

Also, no capitalization in the thread title = ARGH! :x

That's what I'm telling myself, in the hope that Whincup and Doohan will overcome Karthikeyan and Chandhok ... if they don't beat the Thais, that will be embarrassing ...

It doesn't really warrant the title of Race of Champions does it? A hopeless collection of drivers mixed in with a couple of champions and a few who have a bus pass, not a driving licence in their wallet!

All in all a bit of a sham really, especially when you consider the drivers that could be driving for Team GB, and the fact there isn't a Team Spain or Scandinavia, both of which would be easy to put together. Still at least Vettel and Lorenzo are in there.

Especially when there is a Team Thailand and a Team India. And some people *coughbenitoguerrerocough* who I don't see fit to join in their country's team.

Btw,I will support my allegiance for Team Thailand.

Narain Karthikeyan raced in NASCAR's truck series and was being lapped by the likes of Austin Dillon. Not a good thing to say about Narain when Austin Dillon can't even finish higher than 24th in Sprint Cup competition, the highest level of NASCAR.

What is this, I don't even.

The All-Stars team look alright, in my opinion. They should have a chance at winning this years' RoC.
North America: Guerra? He just won a PWRC title, and he's invited to the RoC? That doesn't look too promising.
Great Britain: I think Coulthard's place should have been filled by Button. That way, with Priaulx, a good pairing would be there.
India: Rejectful. Karthikeyan is a lucky bastard, but still, is RoC having financial problems or something?
France: No Loeb? Why? Loeb-Ogier could have been a very strong pairing, who would bode well against...
Germany: ...them. Expect another dominant performance from these two. They are gelled together very well.
Australia: No Webber here? Or Stoner? Doohan with Whincup seems... okay at best for me.
Thailand: What is this, I don't even.

Expect Germany to win against the British team, with the All-Stars duking it out with the French for third.
Vettel has a big chance at taking this year's trophy.

Remember 2004, when a certain Finnish driver won? ...that was good.

Coulthard got to the final in 08, but I would love it if Hamilton,Raikkonen,Vettel and Alonso could all take on each over in equal cars. BTW India won ROC Asia so they qualified and Because Thailand is the host they get a automatic entry.

Stoner-Whincup would have been much better than Doohan-Whincup in my opinion. Especially since Jamie's in the form of his life after spending the last two months making a mockery of the V8 Supercar field.

Failing that, they could get any combination of Crompton, Larkham and next year just for teh lulz

David Coulthard vs Romain Grosjean kicks the event off.
Coulthard won .

*edit* What a pointless chicane on the bridge!

These penalties are ridiculous!

Group A has been complete.
France won the group
Whilst team All stars were 2nd and are also through
GB 3rd (Stupid Penalties  ), Team Americas 4th

In terms of drivers, Guerra, Ogier, Kristensen and Coulthard look good.
Lorenzo and Hunter-Reay are struggling.

The much lower quality Group B is dominated by Germany 6-0.
Australia limp home in 2nd
Thailand 3rd
India 4th.

It is harsh on Thailand and India as the track has been changed and they have had no practice. For some reason the semi final is France v Allstars and Germany v Australia. It should be winner group A vs runner up Group B get your act together directors!

Ogier winning over Lorenzo was logic, but...
Damn! RMGJN sending home Tom Christensen blew my mind!

Whincup, you turd! Old man Schumi humiliated you without sweating!

By the sounds of it, I'm glad I didn't watch. Would someone care to explain about "the stupid penalties" please?

It was how inconsistent they were in my opinion some times they got Penalized for hitting the wall just once and some times they were penalized for hitting twice.

Well guys a couple of us slated Geurra but he was not that bad. A victim on these penalties
You should not get penalised for hitting a wall.

*thumbs up*
You should only get a penalty for straight lining the bridge. Prilaux lost a victory because the back corner of his car lightly brushed a wall in the last seconds of the heat. Crazy.

And suddenly, I want to see the old man drive for James Rosenberg next year just to see if he can whip Whincup's arse in the V8s as well :P

It's the Giz's old seat that's open, Slade isn't moving across I don't think. And Mercedes will be at a disadvantage from the start due to having less development time, which will be amplified by the fact that Erebus Motorsport isn't a top class team.

Of course, Drive (the half-pretentious car culture YouTube show) made it that their YouTube stream of the ROC available for hte US only. Talk about alienating a huge amount of their audience.

Factory Audi driver Kristensen was given an Audi in the quarter and semi final, surprise surprise he won both and made the final.

Coulthard beat Ho ping Tun in a close race before losing to Kristensen.

Vettel crashed his KTM whilst losing to Grosjean, then RoGRO went and beat Schumi.

The final was Grosjean, Kristensen.

Grosjean won the BO3 2-0. :D

Simple. Romain's just driving around by himself and didn't have another car to clatter into.

If Romain will keep his cool like how he did at the RoC while having a car next year the same level as the E20 was on, he'll be in for a shout for podiums, at least.
