RAM drivers preference:
1 Nigel Mansell, improved greatly, and we love to continue with him
2 Jan Lammers, had difficulties to come to grips with the Hart engine, but has shown potential
Both drivers will receive equal treatment.
Reserve driver:
3 Mike Thackwell, our test-driver from last season, who we believe is talented, so we want to keep him. If one of the main drivers declines, he'd be our preferred replacement.
If the real-life drivers decline:
4 André Mignolet, because he already exists in 2016 as father of Ron and Dennis (not as father of Ron Dennis)
If all else fails:
5 Johnny Cecotto, because he has money
I don't know what i want and i want it now!

Given some of Merzario's reserve choices have gone elsewhere, and one seat is still unaccounted for, the order for the #22 is as follows;

Mario Andretti (renewal)
Rene Arnoux
John Watson
Patrick Depailler
Michele Alboreto
Giancarlo Martini
Elio de Angelis

Our choices for test and reserve driver;
Michele Alboreto
Riccardo Patrese
Jean-Pierre Jarier
Vittorio Brambilla
Siegfried Stohr

If we get Alboreto, Patrese or Jarier as reserve driver, we'd also consider signing Vittorio Brambilla as a second tester.

Alrighty then, with the support of Salamander and Pasta, since my involvement in this series revolves solely around Rupert Keegan, in order to stay in this series, Keegan has now been fictionalized and will be retconned out of previous results and renamed Robert Kagan, born on March 26th 1955 in Southend.

Robert Kagan's driving services and eventual sponsorship from Penthouse magazine are available for any team who cares to hire them :)

Renzo wishes to offer the test driver role to Carlo Facetti. If he turns it down, we will instead offer it to Guido Daccò. If that fails too, the offer passes to Alessandro Pesenti-Rossi.

Tyrrell have two fictional drivers at the top of their driver list, which means that any RL driver would have to wait and see if they sign or not, hence waiting for the situation to develop at Tyrrell.

tristan1117 wrote:I would like to retire from my team and be put on the waiting list for later. Rebaque is open to anyone who wants it.

With this news, I am closing the re-application process for existing team owners. It's been almost a week, everyone else has managed to re-sign, and teams are already falling behind in the driver contracts department.

This means that McLaren and Ligier will need new owners, with Audi and Rebaque leaving Formula One, to be replaced by new entries (see below)

With Ataxia being first on the waiting list (He did apply last season, I just forgot about him), he has the offer of taking overLigier.
Roblomas, second on the waiting list, has the offer of taking over McLaren. However, if McLaren fail to perform up to the high standards they expect, Ron Dennis' Project Four team are waiting in the wings to take over.
FantometteBR and V8fan12 have the choice of entering either March OR Spirit-BMW. Whoever takes Spirit HAS to use BMW engines, which brings me nicely onto engine suppliers.

The new team owners can begin signing drivers, RL and fictional, right away. There is nothing stopping you creating and hiring your own fictional drivers, or offering them out to other teams.

For 1981, each manufacturer will be 'controlled' by a user. More information on the input they can have in the engine will come at a later stage, but for now, I need to know who will be running each manufacturer. The owner of a manufacturer gets to choose who they supply, how many teams they supply, and the terms of any supply deal. Those already running the works team for a manufacturer (I.E. Renault, Ferrari) or a team previously associated with a manufacturer (Merzario with Lamborghini, Williams with Honda) will get priority. In the future, there will be scope for more independent manufacturers.

Engine Manufacturers:
Alfa Romeo:
BMW: (Whoever takes Spirit)
Cosworth: Me
Fat Tony's special Cosworths: Biscione
Ferrari:
Ford:
Hart:
Honda:
Lamborghini:
Renault:
Talbot: (Priority to Ataxia, Ligier owner)

Cosworths will be available for anyone on request until the end of the turbo era. Not that you'd really want them, anyway.

Those who have already 'ran' the above manufacturers have the first chance to secure them.

I'll take Spirit then (I know the team sucked in RL but let's make it less sucky in rFAF1L)

Pasta, could McLaren use the following drivers...
Driver 1: Emerson Fittipaldi
Jody Scheckter

Driver 2:
Jody Scheckter
Jochen Mass

Could McLaren also bid for the Honda engines in works or customer form as well please?

Does listening to a dog licking its balls get you excited?

Well, RL drivers are based on RNG, so there's a chance you may not get any of those drivers. As for engines, you'll have to negotiate with whoever will be managing Honda (which is most likely going to be Phoenix).

March, Ligier, and Spirit can also bid for drivers now as well.
