When I first heard this, I am curious... since this is canon series and the Gerudo Dragon's (darkapprentice77) AltCART (2002 only) is also canon, how will both one fit into the canon? :?

AltCART is being struck from the canon, because, to be honest, it was a bit of a shiteshow.

Rejectsport wrote:Cassidy unveils 'aggressive' 2000 lineup

As CART readies up for another season of racing, one of the major pieces of the silly season has been put into place, as Cassidy Racing confirms its lineup. The team will expand from 2 to 3 cars this season, with new drivers for each team, with team founder Brendon Cassidy retiring from racing at the conclusion of the 1999 season.

To little surprise, reigning Indy Lights champion Brendon Cassidy Jr will be taking over his father's car in the familiar Exide 64. The 22-year-old has stated that he feels under no immediate pressure to perform, but expectations will undoubtedly remain high for a driver with a checkered junior career entering one of the most high-profile cars on the grid.

Joining Cassidy as the team's sole veteran racer in 2000 will be none other than 1996 CART champion Jimmy Vasser, following a failed bid by the team to sign Robby Gordon, who is instead taking his self-run team to NASCAR. After a disappointing 1999 season, where Vasser failed to win a race, the 34-year-old Californian will be hoping the change of scenery, driving the Valvoline #65 car, will enable him to return to title contention. Cassidy Sr has repeatedly stated his admiration of Vasser's ability, further increasing the expectation of Vasser being the team's leader in 2000 at the very least.

Joining the team in the new #54 DeWalt-sponsored car is Sam Hornish Jr. The 20-year-old Ohio native will be making quite a big jump this year, following a run to 7th in points in Formula Atlantic in 1999, which included a win at Chicago. Hornish's signing has raised some eyebrows, but Brendon Cassidy Sr has stated that he is firmly convinced of Hornish's talent and that he, alongside Cassidy Jr, will form the backbone of the next generation of American IndyCar racers.

While having 2 rookies may be a cause for concern for some teams, Brendon Cassidy Sr is adamant that running an 'aggressive' driving lineup will set the team up for continued and sustained success in the future.

For the teams waiting to make their own liveries, i do wanna let you know, i am doing everything the best i can to do find a way to resolve this issue. But unfortunately, i am struggling to fix and make the templates plain so that you can paint and send them to me, probably due to formatting issues which is making the liveries on the model messed up. However, i will take my time and give it about a week from now to continue resolving the matter as this is the series from the past, absolutely no need to rush at all.

If there is anyone who has something that could help resolve this issue, do let me know as i would appreciate it very much.

Here are some screenshots of the issues i'm having with the Template livery:

And for those who do worry, this series will still go on, as i might have a good alternative that could help run the series for the time being.

Try saving as a DXT5 .dds if you're not doing so already. The wings look fine so I'd assume they've been saved in different formats.

Otherwise, try adjusting your in-game graphics options.

Good news guys. Now i can finally get CART 2000 going.

Now, bit of change of plan for the teams waiting to paint and submit their liveries. You may now submit your liveries but as i still haven't found a way to fix the templates so that you guys can be able to paint it, please pm to me all your painting details including the colour of the car and it's sponsors (You can use a similar template which then i can transfer them all into the CART 2000 Template. There is no deadline to when to send your liveries by as there is obviously no need to rush this and i can start the series anytime when everything is all set up and go.

Update:

I would like to apologise for being off-guard and confused with what i am doing here. I know this would be the first time i'm doing a league so i think it's time to clear it up and start again.

For the teams creating their own liveries, feel free to make your own but if you are unable to make it for any reason (Formatting issues etc), do send me your painting details and i'll put them all in the template.

And for other teams, i believe you all told me that you wanted to use the same default livery used in 2000. If not, do let me know via PM.

Different liveries per team are optional, and for those who have already requested to use the default template of the same team used in 2000 (Ganassi, Dale Coyne, Penske Racing, Patrick Racing etc), please let me know on the PM if you want to use different liveries for your drivers.

Also, engines, as originally stated, there would be 1 same Engine Manufacturer per team. But now, i allow all teams to choose their own engine for their team.

There are now 4 more Part-Time entries left to take.

A testing session will commence soon, but only when all the liveries and templates are done. I will give everyone up to 4 weeks until 18th February 19:00 to submit their remaining Part time entries, Engines, and Liveries.

Note: Bobby Dollar has been mistakenly put down as being raced. This was because he is running a part-time schedule and he is not suppose to be racing here, so his result dosen't count.

I thought Dollar was supposed to run the full schedule, with Billy Boat being part time in a second car?
