Umm, why was Coloni not added to the lottery for Judd EV?

Coloni don't have enough money to support the Judd EVs.

I don't see why you wouldn't be. Isn't it hilariously ironic that a team sponsored by Francaise des Jeux would have no luck in a random lottery? :pantano:

Driver Market

Post by Normal32 »

After all pay driver messages have been sent (please let me know if somehow the PM failed to arrive), we can now sign some drivers.

Any F1 driver is entitled to a minimum wage of DM 200,000 per year. You may choose how long your driver contracts are (in number of races (please note that the 1989 season has 16 races as will the following seasons)). Wages will still be per year and must be rounded to at least six digits. Existing contracts have been rounded up to account for this as offers not complying to this rule will be.

In addition, you may add clauses of all types to the contract. Obviously, drivers won't like clauses that could potentially hurt them. Furthermore, clauses that make the wage of a driver fully or partially conditional are banned. Be careful, any badly-worded clauses will be read in the most driver-friendly method possible.

Sacking drivers costs DM 800,000.

Alright, please fill out this until Wednesday, October 12 (16:30 p.m. CEST) and post it in this thread for real-life drivers - make sure you have enough options, any team that does not have a driver after the RNGs will be assigned a driver by me and trust me, that will not be pretty:

Code: Select all

---- First Driver ----
Candidate:
Offered Wage:
Contract Length:
Other Clauses:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
---- Second Driver ----
Offered Wage:
For fictional drivers, you just need to post this and get the user controlling the character to either post agreement in here or give it to me in the chatroom.
Code: Select all
Offered Wage:
Contract Length:
Other Clauses:
Controlling User:
Teams who already have drivers under contract do not need to fill out the . Your current budgets in the original post include any running contracts and the eventual paydriver money recieved for them.
Christopherson appreciates the signal of intent from March - especially in regards to the money offered given his rookie status - but respectfully declines, having agreed a deal with AGS for the 1989 season.
Sorry for the... ehm... delay. You can find the line-ups I RNGed in the wiki page.
Coloni and Benetton missed out on one of their drivers each, so I used Claudio Langes (Coloni) and Kazuki Fushida (Benetton) respectively. You can sack these at any time you please.
Results for Jacarepagua:
Time Ranking:
--- Passes ---
1. Dallara-JUDD
2. Lola-LAMBORGHINI
--- DNPQ ---
3. March-JUDD
4. Rial-FORD
Drivers' Championship:
1. AYRTON Senna 9
2. TEO Fabi 6
3. PIERLUIGI Martini 4
4. FREDERIC-MAXIME Voeckler 3
5. BRENDON Cassidy Sr. 2
6. NIGEL Mansell 1
1. FERRARI 9
2. McLaren-HONDA 6
Roll Call! (shamelessly stolen from F4)
Post by pasta_maldonado »
With Normal32's permission, I'll be running the series for a little while, whilst he engages in a Rocky-style montage to re-find his motivation for motorsport.
I will be picking up where he left off, and the races will be simulated (to start, with anyway, although circumstances may force QuickSims - but we will deal with that when the time comes)
I haven't quite got the carset up and running, but until then, I'd like all current team owners to report back to the series to say they'd like to continue. Due to this series' important canon nature, teams whose owners do not decide to continue with the series will be reallocated as I see fit. Additionally, as it has been so long since the series was last running, to reflect changes in the greater canon I will allow users to make a mutual swap with other team owners/waiting list. Please indicate your preferences if this is the case and I will do my best to accommodate your wishes.
Roll Call (thank you Simtek for this format!):
Existing teams must confirm their commitment to Alt89 by 11:59 GMT, February 10th.
Confirmed Unconfirmed Won't be back
