Overall a decent but not brilliant start to the year from Quicktech, Deletraz especially has shown real pace. Hope consistency can be improved and both cars can regularly score points.

Motorsport.com wrote:Motorland to be replaced by Jerez in the F2 calendar

The FIA F2 World Championship, which in 1 month time was due to visit Spain for its 11th round of the season, held at the Motorland Circuit in Aragon, has seen a venue change, with the circus now travelling to Jerez de la Frontera instead.

F2 boss Gerhard Berger justified this decision due to the current status of the circuit: "Motorland is a bit in decay. When we travelled earlier this year, they said they could get the circuit ready back in time for the action, but they couldn't. The renewals aren't finished and we decided to postpone Motorland for next year or the next one. The contract is there until 2021, and they have until then to get the circuit back to operational again." Motorland president was disappointed but understanded the decision. All the tickets bought for the Motorland round will be usable in the Jerez circuit.

La Gazzetta dello Sport wrote:Unbelieveable! Fuoco benched for Abu Dhabi Race 2 as punishment for Leclerc collision

In an extraordinary twist during the Formula 2 weekend at Yas Marina, Trueba Racing Team have elected to suspend their second driver Antonio Fuoco for tomorrow's sprint race, following a collision with his team-mate Charles Leclerc in the feature.

Trueba's lead driver is currently in the thick of a championship battle with rivals Victoria Desai and Lando Norris, while Fuoco has rarely finished in the points this season.

Leclerc had led the race early in proceedings, but a resurgent Fuoco moved from sixth to second, before attempting a late lunge on Leclerc and colliding with the Monegasque driver's car. The incident sent both drivers wide and allowed Beitske Visser into the lead.

Though Leclerc went on to secure second place at the finish, team boss Giovanni Roda was so incensed by the collision he immediately went to work finding a replacement driver for the rest of the weekend while the race was still ongoing.

Shortly after the chequered flag, the Trueba team - a junior operation for Scuderia Ferrari in Formula 1 - released a statement explaining that Fuoco had been suspended with immediate effect, and that Formula 3 front-runner Fajny Sklep would take his place for Race 2.

"Due to unprofessional conduct in the Abu Dhabi feature race, Antonio Fuoco has been relieved of his duties for the rest of the weekend," it read.

"Fuoco's duties will be assumed by Fajny Sklep on Sunday 20th of October. We would like to thank Plus One Racing Engineering for their co-operation in this matter."

"Fuoco's role within Trueba Racing Team will be assessed further when the team regroups in Parma early next week. The team and Sig. Fuoco will make no further comment on this issue."

F2.com wrote:Desai crowned champion amidst Lando Norris retirement and Leclerc's crash

The Formula 2 season finale was going to be a fight between ART's Lando Norris, Trueba's Charles Leclerc and Prema's Victoria Desai after a year long battle. Desai led the entire championship up until the last race, when a second to last lap retirement from 4th place saw Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc both overtake her, as the trio entered the final round split by just 6 points.

That meant the championship scenario could be handed to any of the drivers, and expectations were high for the race, especially as it was being run to a full GP distance. Sadly, the fight for the title was over mid-race and the 160km distance proved to be useless as a early SC period allowed cars to fullfill the two mandatory pitstops early and it proved to be a sprint to the end, removing much of the strategy plot that could occur.

The fight for Charles Leclerc lasted 14 laps. The monegasque driver, from pole position, was running 2nd behind Lando Norris on the third lap, when he outbraked himself and crashed into the rear diffuser of the british driver, losing his front wing in the process. Leclerc pitted and started a comeback, and was up to 22nd when he went down the inside of Kenta Yamashita into turn 3, tagged the sidepod of the Hilmer and founded himself losing the rear end into the path of Alexander Obolensky's Peak who couldn't do anything to avoid the Trueba. Both cars were out on the spot and the SC was called out to the track.

This allowed cars to make the two pitstops, and suddenly, David Beckmann found himself in the lead of the race, followed by Richard Verschoor and Max Defourny, with Lando Norris and Victoria Desai down in 8th and 9th, following each other. After the SC came in on lap 18, Lando Norris started a comeback drive which would take him to the lead of the race on lap 25. The brit was fighting Defourny and Visser for it, and while leading on lap 30, the ART succumbed to an engine failure to the surprise of all.

Victoria Desai only needed a 4th place to score the title, but she went all out and fought with Max Defourny and Beitske Visser, eventually coming out on the top to take victory and the title in the end. It was heartbreaking for ART, and a disaster for Trueba, but the indian is a deserved champion in the end. Perhaps not the fastest of the trio, but she led the entire championship but for one race, and it was an emotional moment for the indian driver. Beitske Visser came home in 2nd place, with Max Defourny rounding up the podium places, once again the elusive win coming close.

Richard Verschoor came home in 4th place, followed by Simon Mestach, who put up his best drive of the year, Dan Ticktum in 6th, Franc Piscine in 7th, Alessio Lorandi in 8th, David Beckmann in 9th and Jayleen Mori scoring the final point, putting both Falik Arrows on the points for the only time this year.

IIDOTR: Simon Mestach - From time to time, this Mestach appears. A fast, fierce driver, just the one we saw in F3.
ROTR: Charles Leclerc - His mistakes (even though the second one wasn't entirelly his fault) led to the eventual demise of the championship battle.
Stewards Report:
Charles Leclerc gets 5 penalty points for contact involding Lando Norris.

Now, there's a post-season going to happen on the weekend of 14-15 December at Curitiba. The test can serve as a team looking for possible hires for 2020, both for real life drivers and canon drivers. The following rules apply for the drivers that can be entered:
A driver can't be older than 32 years old, and can't have entered more than 20 ARWS, F1 or IndyCar races.
For drivers who drove this year, they're still under contract with their respective teams. So, a if you want, for example, Antonio Fuoco, you have to approach Biscione to let him drive for your team. The same applies for canon drivers, but you have to approach the DEC owner instead.
For real life drivers, a team can apply for a real life driver to drive for them. An RNG will be run for drivers with more than 1 bid. For canon drivers, you must ask permission from the DEC Owner.

Here's the form:
