It's never too late. However, I recommend you only scrap the damaged chassis, as the undamaged components can be sold to collectors for a much higher amount.

OK, the damaged chassis will be scrapped and the rest put on the market for collectors.

Well, i didn't see that one coming... :D Remember that these shares are only IP rights and prize money to the T41 design and absolutely nothing else. You have no legitimacy over Cooper Car company or construction other Cooper models. (though if you intend to do so, i will not necessairyly reject the idea)
I hope the one who sold you this informed you about all the shady sides of it all. Though you can decide everything on your own regarding the T41 without my agreement considering you got a majority share of the IP, you are still obligated to report to me whatever you're doing. At this point, i can construct T41's at selling price as agreed with previous shareholders. I do sincerely hope you don't raise that price to piss me off :P
Well, my contractual deals regarding semi-works engines and receiving Maseratis assets if they get bankrupt are still valid, regardless of them having shares or not. I wish them much luck and thank them for their loyalty all this time.

I won't break the deal we had, just asked if they had dealt with you also as well

I'm not angry at you FantometteBR. I could consider it as 'getting deals behind my back' but at the same time i was negotiationg with Coventry Climax (though i declined them because they were quite demanding), so we're both guilty of that. I honestly hope that you can get Maserati back on the rails. I'm just want to be sure that all signed deals will be honoured and you answered that. Problems solved.

As the new owners of the T41 IP, Team Lotus would like to request that all outstanding deals directly related to the sale of this car to customers be put on hold until we have had the chance to review them.

Now that I'm done with most university deadlines, I can announce that the deadline to submit driver choices is Sunday, December 25th at noon CET.

You may still bid for drivers after this, but you will be limited to drivers not already signed.

Defenitely relieved that we managed to keep parnell, and we welcome De Filippis in our team! The others look like a typical bunch of local pay drivers, some of them might turn out to be good, some not. So everything seems 'good enough' on the driver front.

The Complete 1957 Season Preview - Part One

1956 was one hell of a season. Attendance was down from the insane numbers observed in 1955, there were brilliant races, such as Wicklow, controversial races, such as Rostock, and less exciting races, such as Bangkok. However, the overwhelming feeling permeating the paddock atmosphere was one of tragedy. The East German Grand Prix saw the death of André Milhoux in a violent accident, one of many that weekend. The Scottish Grand Prix came under fire following the fatal accidents of Tony Brooks and Paco Godia in the wet weather. Most tragically, Dries van der Lof perished in a fiery accident at Rouen-les-Essarts, taking the lives of 7 spectators with him.

On the racing side of things, Jack Brabham, in his first (and eventually last) year at Gordini, dominated the season, but had to wait until the final race in Thailand to seal the title. Indeed, the Australian was often let down by his machinery, allowing Desmond Titterington and Stirling Moss to challenge for the title through superior reliability. This season, Brabham is changing teams again, and with some new cars hitting the circuit this year, the competition at the front promises to be tight once again.

Alexander Racing Team - Gordini
Gordini succeeded in building the quickest car of 1956, although its pace was only consistently evident in the hands of Jack Brabham. Sanesi, Castellotti, Bonnier and Gallagher could only occasionally show their worth, although on those few occasions, Sanesi managed to win an unexpected two races. This meant that despite the constant reliability issues, Gordini won five races in the ten-race season, taking a deserved title. Despite this, the atmosphere in the team seemed tense. As it became evident that Gordini would not be developing a new car for 1957, Jack Brabham decided to look elsewhere, and later left the team shortly after winning the title. Consalvo Sanesi soon followed suit, after seven years of loyal service. Desperately, Jo Bonnier was retained, and Robert Manzon, dissatisfied with his time at O.S.C.A., returned to the team that launched his career. Eugenio Castellotti, despite early signs that he would not be kept, was eventually signed, completing the Gordini line-up. The Type 56 is only a year old, keeping it in contention, but its status as the best car in the field is now under threat.

Despite only winning one race, the 1956 season was an unqualified success for O.S.C.A.. That win was their first, and it came attached to seven other podiums, the most of any team, and it helped them and their driver Stirling Moss to fight for all world championships as underdogs. In the end, Gordini's dominance prevailed, but it allowed O.S.C.A. to expand their customer base massively and afford a new engine design for 1957, with the explicit aim to beat Gordini on pace alone. However, the off-season was marred by the departure of Robert Manzon, returning to Gordini, and the near-departure of Ottorino Volonterio. With Peter Whitehead still injured, O.S.C.A. were desperate for a fourth driver, and acting on a recommendation from Stirling Moss, hired promising but inexperienced British club driver Graham Hill. With only the top car scoring points in each race, this should not affect their results if reliability plays in their favour.

1956 was a tragic year for the team backed by Her Majesty's Government. Only one week after winning his first Grand Prix in Ireland, Tony Brooks was killed in Edinburgh aged just 24. Mike Hawthorn later won the Italian Grand Prix, securing third place for them in the championship. With a two-year old car and diminishing success, the very rich team decided to launch a completely new car. This certainly attracted the attention of Jack Brabham, who jumped ship from Gordini to join the continuing Peter Collins and Mike Hawthorn. With Gordini and O.S.C.A., they seem to be favourites for this year's championship.

Scuderia Ferrari
Ferrari had ambition. They hoped to be winning races regularly, but the bottomless money pit that proved to be the R560 ended up not quite measuring up to the likes of the Gordini and O.S.C.A.. Nonetheless, their rotating cast of drivers managed to pull them to four podiums, courtesy of the otherwise awful Juan Manuel Fangio, the unlucky Tony Gaze and the increasingly impressive Umberto Maglioli. This year, they bring forth a new chassis, have retained Maglioli and Gaze, signed Giulio Cabianca full time, and convinced Consalvo Sanesi to ditch Gordini for a more suitably Italian operation. This year, they hope to at least win one race, though with Gordini, O.S.C.A. and B.C.M.A. in front, this may be a tough ask.

Escuderia Hernandez
Very much the odd team out of the first part of this season preview, the team led by Federico Hernandez is discussed this soon thanks to the controversial structure of the East German Grand Prix coupled with the ludicrous attrition playing into the hands of Heinz Melkus, who finished second out of four finishers. The combined effort of Carlos Menditéguy, Umberto Maglioli, Edgar Barth and Gilberte Thirion wasn't enough to score a further point, although Thirion showed signs of constant improvement. This led to Thirion being signed for a second full season, although she seems less motivated after the death of her close friend Annie Bousquet in Reims in early 1956.

The Complete 1957 Season Preview - Part Two
British Racing Motors

The return of BRM was hotly anticipated, but then Alfred Owen abandoned the project to set up his own team, and it was picked up by the previous owners of BERO, who proved...not very adept managers. They fluked a podium in the chaotic East German Grand Prix, but otherwise rarely made the grid even at the longer circuits. The acquisition of the geriatric AACs didn't help. Paul Frère was retained, while Flockhart and Behra were ditched in favour of Bob Gerard, coming over from the only marginally better Connaught. A new engine may help, but the chassis remains the same, so improvements are unlikely to occur.

Asso di Fiori
The team from Bologna, after sitting out 1955, has returned to business, scoring the occasional good result. The O.S.C.A. proved decent enough, although Onofre Marimón had trouble getting used to it. Nonetheless, the expense of making the trip to Bangkok paid off with a fourth place finish guaranteeing a good amount of prize money. Selling off their old Aston Martin machinery to focus on the O.S.C.A. and retaining Marimón for an extra season provides the team with some stability that they may be able to use to launch a more consistent campaign.

Scuderia Centro Sud
What an interesting off-season it's been for Guglielmo Dei. Despite an encouraging first season in which he scored a point thanks to Luigi Musso, he decided to completely reorganise the team, instead opting to hire two constant drivers rather than a series of one-off drivers. The drivers in question are very different too, consisting of Juan Manuel Fangio and Hans Herrmann, briefly Mercedes teammates in sportscars upon Fangio's return to motorsport at the tail end of 1955. Fangio is a former big name in the sport who's struggled to recapture his former form after his 1954 injury, while Herrmann is a young driver who's been making occasionaly one-off appearances for years now. Certainly an odd couple to take this team forward.

Cooper Car Company
The saga of the Cooper T41 remains controversial to this day. As of writing, 66% of the intellectual property belongs to Colin Chapman, who intends to cease production, leaving Cooper without any significant source of income aside from lending existing cars and prize money. Intending to enter three cars to many events this year, both of these opportunities seem limited, although Reg Parnell, Maria Teresa de Filippis and the handful of other local drivers will be trying their hardest to prolong Cooper's survival at the very least into 1958.

Connaught Engineering
No one seems to really know what's happening at Connaught, including the owners themselves. They entered at the tail end of 1956 with Stuart Lewis-Evans and Bob Gerard, and while they succeeded in recording results, they were not very convincing. With confusion surrounding which engines they will be using, Bob Gerard jumped ship to BRM, while Stuart Lewis-Evans returned after a stint at B.C.M.A.. Luigi Musso was tempted to join the team through the promise of O.S.C.A. engines, although this supply remains uncertain.
