autosport.com wrote:Couteau appointed head of Red Bull motorsports program

Former Fusion principal Jacques Couteau has been appointed the head of Red Bull's motorsports program, in a move which will involve the Austrian energy drink manufacturer backing his current Nebula Grand Prix operations.

Couteau, who recently left Fusion after the Lotto Racing takeover, was selected by Red Bull chief Dietrich Mateschitz to lead Red Bull's racing operations across a range of series. The Frenchman's role will also including scouting young drivers for selection into the Red Bull Junior Team.

"I am delighted to take this new role with Red Bull" said Couteau. "Red Bull is a dynamic, vibrant company which supports a range of different things. I want to enhance their standing in motorsport, which used to be very strong."

"The last few years have been tough for Red Bull, but we hope to bring back the good times, bring some bright young talents on board and give them the right support they need."

Red Bull has endured declining fortunes within Formula 1, and some quarters of the paddock expect the current setup to be sold, before purchasing the Haas team in a cut-price deal. The American team intends to leave the sport at the end of 2019, with a view to selling the team on.

Currently, Red Bull's Junior Team consists of F1 driver Pierre Gasly, F2's Richard Verschoor and American Neil Verhagen, but Couteau is looking to add AutoReject 2.0 drivers Pierre St. Laurent and Josephine Leifeld to the setup, along with F3's Raven Roth. Magda Szervansky, who is already managed by Couteau, is expected to join up with Red Bull in the next few days.

No, I don't know what happened, either. It seems the game just decided to totally ignore performance files and threw up utterly random results instead.

Ouch... I must admit this is a terrible start of the season for ICE-3. Only May keeps the boat afloat for now, for some reason, Zaugg is kind of rubbish. :(

Sure. Although I won't be running the series by the time you might get a chance...

Due to severe lack of motivation, the rest of the season will be Ctrl+T-ed (quicksimmed) to at least get proper end-of-the-season standings. That means no highlight videos, no penalties and no injuries. I'll try to get around doing this sooner rather than later.

I also need someone to take over this series for the next season. I'm done with this and can't imagine having any more motivation by the time I'd need to start 2020.

To cap off the season, it's once again time for the non-championship race at Autopolis. As usual, all driver restrictions are off, so you can enter anyone you want as long as they aren't already participating in another race during the weekend (25th-27th October 2019). You can also enter just one car if you want. There are no automatic entries, so teams that do not confirm any drivers simply won't appear in the race at all.

I'll give you exactly 21 days from the date of this post to confirm your entries.

It is disappointing that Volker Scrattenheim has seemingly gotten worse this year compared to last.

Chris Short will continue to the NC race, AutoReject 2.0 runner up Vaclav Malsyz will move up to take one of the seats, the second seat is available. It is up to DemocalypseNow as to if the partnership with Nissan continues.
