Just a reminder to everybody having money issues - it's far cheaper to upgrade your existing chassis than build a new one.

As we failed to get any of our drivers bar Henton, Hesketh would be interested in the following drivers if possible:

Driver 1
Vladislav Viktorovich Barkovskii
Wage: Pay Driver
Length: 1 season

Patrick Neve
Wage: Pay Driver
Length: 1 season

Driver 2
Motoharu Kurosawa
Wage: Pay Driver
Length: Rounds 17

Emilio de Violta
Wage: Pay Driver
Length: Rounds 1-3, 9, 16

Giancarlo Martini
Wage: Pay Driver

We would also like to extend Henton's contract length to cover Round 13 (and 14 if Martini's unavailable)

First round of RNG

Here are all the RNG ranges and results.

Current line-ups can be found on the wiki.

After the first round of RNG, the following teams still have seats to fill:

- McLaren
- Shadow
- Hesketh (#23 for 17 races, #24 for 14 races)
- Penske (#27 17 races)
- Boro (#33 for 17 races)
- Dywa (#36 17 races)
- B&S (Out of 20 European entries, you have 13 filled.)
- Avon
- Theodore
- North Star
- Iberia Airlines
- Kojima

Teams may now bid for drivers in the second round of RNG. Privateer teams may bear in mind they do not have to find drivers until closer the time of their scheduled races.

So far the line up of B&S will be:
Car 1:
-Edwards: Spain, Soviet-Union
-TBA: Belgium, Monaco, France
-Galica: UK, Netherlands and Italy
-Kessel: Austria and Germany
Car 2:
-Zapico: Spain, Italy
- Andersson: Netherlands Belgium and Soviet-Union
- Ashley: UK, France and Monaco
-Binder: Austria and Germany

For the Belgian, Monegasque and French GP, we offer a 3 race deal for Eddie Cheever, if he declines we offer one-race deals for: Andy Sutcliffe, Michael Bleekemolen and Bernard De Dryver.

Driver offers for fly-away races will only be done if we qualify for the travel package, if we miss out on them, we won't enter them.

I've decided that the best way to go about Theodore's 1977 entry would be (if acceptable to Wizzie) if Ensign were to run one of its cars under the Theodore Racing Hong Kong banner, as that was effectively what Theodore's actual 1977 entry was and Teddy Yip was a close partner of the Ensign team. I don't want this to affect Ensign's prize money, so I'd prefer if both the Ensign and Theodore entries were just treated as a single team, with Ensign reaping all the rewards. There will be no further caveats, Ensign already has an excellent driver lineup to be proud of and I wouldn't want to interfere with that.

I'd also like to request that, in the event of the Boro team's inevitable demise, Theodore inherit the use of numbers 32 & 33 (and 34) for consistency with the numbering of the team's 2019 incarnation.

2nd Driver RNG results and Chassis/Engine/Supplier Market

Post by pasta_maldonado »

2nd driver RNG

Here are all the RNG ranges and results.

Current line-ups can be found on the wiki.

Privateer teams may bear in mind they do not have to find drivers until closer the time of their scheduled races.

Travel Costs
Alt77 Rules wrote:Travel Costs
- NEW: Al teams must pay some form of travel costs.
- NEW: Subsidised travel costs for all races is £200,000. There are 14 slots available, given in order of priority to the top 14 teams in the WEC.
-NEW: Teams who do not pay the subsidised costs MUST pay for travel to each event individually.
- Travel costs are listed on the spreadsheet.

There is space for 15 teams on the subsidised travel flights. They are:

-Ferrari
-Tyrrell
-Lotus
-Brabham
-March
-McLaren
-Renault
-Shadow
-Williams
-Ensign
-Hesketh
-Ligier
-Penske
-Fittipaldi
-Boro

All other teams must pay for travel separately.

Chassis/Engines/Supplier market
Chassis, engines and suppliers are now OPEN! Here's an excerpt from the rules to explain again the changes.

Alt77 Rules wrote:Chassis Upgrades
- NEW: The upgrade system has been altered. Instead of being restricted to an upgrade tier, you are free to choose any upgrade you wish. The only caveat is you are limited to one upgrade per slot, and the upgrade in question must be available.
- NEW: Upgrade slots are now continous, rather than fixed. E.g. Slot one is now from Round 1-4, instead of after Round 4.
- NEW: There is now a Pre-Season upgrade slot.
- You may only choose one upgrade per slot.

Engines
- NEW: All teams must renew their engine supply.
- NEW: Renault are added. Their engine is only available to the factory team.
- NEW: Engine upgrades. An upgrade will appear for your engine at the specified events, for the specified price, but the exact contents are unknown.
- NEW: Any two teams are free to sign with Alfa Romeo
- NEW: Matra have capacity for an additional team alongside Ligier
- NEW: Older spec Cosworth engines are available for cheaper prices, but worse power and reliability.
- NEW: Only '77 spec engines may be upgraded
- Ford Cosworth remain free to sign anybody.
- Ferrari will only supply the factory team.

Chassis
- NEW: Chassis generation table has been updated with 1977 ranges.
- NEW: Handling stat. Handling assigns a RGR (Random Grip Range) to your chassis. Working in multiples of 100, a Handling level 1 adds 100 RGR, and Level 10 adds 1000
- NEW: Chassis aging. Chassis age (loose performance) per year according to the given stats on the spreadsheet.
- NEW: Chassis manufacturers Lola and Automobiles Martini are looking for works partners. The upgrade direction of the chassis is NOT established by the team owner.
- NEW: A team may introduce a new chassis mid season, during slots 1 or 3 in exchange for an upgrade in that slot.
- NEW: Teams can sell custom chassis to collectors for 10% of it's build price. This does not apply for customer chassis of any description.
- Each team MUST build it's own chassis
- The cost of each chassis is for TWO chassis.

Travel Costs
- NEW: Al teams must pay some form of travel costs.
- NEW: Subsidised travel costs for all races is £200,000. There are 14 slots available, given in order of priority to the top 14 teams in the WEC.
-NEW: Teams who do not pay the subsidised costs must pay for travel to each event individually.
- Travel costs are listed on the spreadsheet.

NEW: Suppliers
- NEW: There are four types of supplier: Petroleum, Lubricant, Parts and Tyres. Each supplier brings benefits to the team.
- NEW: Each team M U S T sign a tyre supplier. All other suppliers are optional.
- NEW: Teams may choose ONE supplier from: Petoleum, Lubricant, and Parts.
- NEW: The amount of contracts available for a supplier is listed.
- NEW: The price listed is paid once to secure the supplier, and once to purchase the upgrade.
- NEW: Supplier upgrades come at random times, and an RNG will be run to determine the effectiveness of the upgrade.
- NEW: If more offers than number of contracts are received, an RNG will be run.
- NEW: Pay attention to the Brand Image.
- NEW: Each team may bid for three suppliers and 2 tyre suppliers.
- NEW: If there are more applicants than contracts for a supplier, an RNG will be held.

The old car will be sold to a collector. I don't think this has been factored into the current budget, so the above should all be financially viable with that in mind.

Well, those two seats will be offered to Lamberto Leoni and Bruno Giacomelli as first choice and Giorgio Francia and Beppe Gabbiani as second choice. Reject drivers: gotta catch em all!
