we only have 400k for the car

The only way Yates Racing can afford to run is if they design a shitbox car. That should cost less than 400K once it's there.

Considering the demand for a budget chassis and our obligations to Dodge, PPI are willing to develop a Tier 9 Chassis and offer it for sale at $300k to lower-rung teams. Obviously this means you can't run Hendrick engines, but the lower costs of the chassis should offset the $50k extra for an Ernie Elliott one.

This plans however would only be enacted if there was any demand for our chassis, which there is currently none.

I hope we can go into debt a bit. Otherwise I don't see how I can supply the whole team, even with budget-mobiles.

Chassis Tier Design: 4 (Hoping for the best with RNGs)
Number of Chassis Built: 5 (One for Kirk Shelmerdine)

Car number: #28
Engine builder: Roush-Yates
Pit crew tier: 9

Car number: #38
Engine builder: Roush-Yates
Pit crew tier: 7

Car number: #88
Engine builder: Roush-Yates
Pit crew tier: 7

Car number: #98
Engine builder: Roush-Yates (budget)
Pit crew tier: 9

Alternatively if our drivers (especially you Jarrett) are willing to take a paycut to say 75% of the initial deal for the sake of more competitive equipment then we will revise the above plans.

So Robert Yates budget-mobiles are available to independents from $400k each.

The #98 chassis will be available for lease for 20k per race at races we aren't using it.

That is a salty price for a scrub chassis but since there aren't many Fords available and Roush prices are probably out of touch, Kirk doesn't have a choice.

Kirk offers $200k for a Yates chassis but wants an option of Yates supplying a chassis for him in 2005 as well.

Yes. You must, however, finish the season out of debt to avoid going bankrupt. There is also a limit to how far each team can go into debt, but it will depend on the size of the team, and their behavior. So, Roush can go into debt a fair amount at this stage, as you are a large team, although a bit generous with driver contracts. But it will depend on what you are going into debt to buy, as well.

I'll elaborate fully on debt when I publish the rules on upgrades, and mid-season money payouts.

As we can go into debt. Yates have revised their chassis design plans bumping our design up to Tier 4.

Thus customer chassis are now $400,000 each. We will still supply Kirk with a car for a bargain 250k if they are prepared to up their offer.

Let's keep the chassis train rolling (right past the Ultra garage :P ).

----------

RICHARD CHILDRESS RACING

RCR designs a Tier 1 chassis.
Aero: 75-90 - 79!
Chassis: 75-90 - 88!
Reliability: 0-30 - 11!

Childress builds 4 chassis for the #29, #30, #31 and #90. They also develop 4 customer chassis, 2 for Bill Davis Racing, and 2 for BAM Racing (1 of which is a part-time car which will contest 24 races).

RCR Customer chassis:
Aero: 70-90 - 79!
Chassis: 70-90 - 77!
Reliability: 0-30 - 11!
(As I neglected to mention this previously, I will state now that any customer chassis which gains a higher stat in RNG than that of the works chassis will be limited to the works chassis' stat). They also purchase 4 Childress engines, and hire 4 Tier 2 pit crews for the #29, #30, #31, and #90.

#29
Speed: 70-90 - 84!
Consistency: 70-90 - 78!
Strategy: 80-95 - 85!

#30
Speed: 70-90 - 75!
Consistency: 70-90 - 82!
Strategy: 80-95 - 88!

#31
Speed: 70-90 - 89!
Consistency: 70-90 - 90!
Strategy: 80-95 - 94!

#90
Speed: 70-90 - 80!
Consistency: 70-90 - 72!
Strategy: 80-95 - 84!

Richard Childress Racing is $920k in debt.

----------

BAM RACING

BAM has purchased 2 customer chassis from Richard Childress Racing. They also purchase 2 Childress engine supplies, and hire one Tier 2 pit crew for the #49.

#49
Speed: 70-90 - 90!
Consistency: 70-90 - 88!
Strategy: 80-95 - 81!

As agreed between BDR and BAM, the #27 pit crew will be loaned to the #91 team in exchange for the use of the #91 car by BDR.

-----------

BELCAR MOTORSPORTS
BelCar purchases one customer Hendrick chassis for $480k.

Hendrick Customer chassis:
Aero: 70-90 - 76!
Chassis: 70-90 - 81!
Reliability: 0-30 - 1!

BelCar also purchases one supply of Childress engines, and hire 1 Tier 1 pit crew:

#54
Speed: 75-90 - 80!
Consistency: 75-90 - 80!
Strategy: 80-95 - 87!

----------

PPI MOTORSPORTS

PPI purchases 2 supplies of regular Evernham engines for the #32, and #64. They also hire 2 Tier 1 pit crews.

#32
Speed: 75-90 - 78!
Consistency: 75-90 - 90!
Strategy: 80-95 - 85!

#64
Speed: 75-90 - 83!
Consistency: 75-90 - 76!
Strategy: 80-95 - 84!

----------

EVERNHAM MOTORSPORTS

Evernham designs a Tier 1 chassis.
Aero: 75-90 - 85!
Chassis: 75-90 - 79!
Reliability: 0-30 - 10!

Evernham builds 2 chassis for the #9 and #19. They also develop 2 customer chassis, for PPI.

RCR Customer chassis:
Aero: 70-90 - 85!
Chassis: 70-90 - 72!
Reliability: 0-30 - 10!

They also purchase 2 Evernham engines, and hire 2 Tier 1 pit crews for the #9 and #19.

#9
Speed: 75-90 - 89!
Consistency: 75-90 - 75!
Strategy: 80-95 - 83!

#19
Speed: 75-90 - 85!
Consistency: 75-90 - 81!
Strategy: 80-95 - 89!

Evernham are selling chassis/engine combos for $1 million or just chassis for $520k

So the chassis/engine combo costs $80k more than just buying a chassis by itself? How does that make sense?

----------

BACE MOTORSPORTS

BACE purchase one Hendrick budget engine and hire 1 Tier 9 pit crew.

#74
Speed: 45-75- 65!
Consistency: 45-75 - 65!
Strategy: 80-95 - 92!

we only have 400k for the car

You will be able to go into debt slightly to buy a customer chassis - though if you're not comfortable with that, I will implement the option to buy 2003 chassis for an affordable price.

This would put you approx $400K in debt (assuming budget Hendrick engines, otherwise $900K in debt) - maybe consider just buying a rolling Chevrolet chassis rather than designing your own Tier 7?

Good shout, skimped over reading that part of the chassis part. We'll certainly look to run a rolling Chevrolet chassis.

Then go out and buy some! Hendrick, RCR and JGR have all build Chevys.

Richard Childress Racing will swap the #29 pitcrew with the #31 pit crew around. Childress would also like to purchase the pit crew from the BAM #49 car in exchange for the #30 pit crew and a $100k discount on their next chassis purchase

And here is the final phase of chassis RNG.

----------

HAAS-CNC RACING

CGR Customer chassis:
Aero: 70-90 - 86!
Chassis: 70-90 - 77!
Reliability: 0-30 - 11!

Wood Brothers Racing is $450k in debt.

----------

ROBERT YATES RACING

Alternatively if our drivers (especially you Jarrett) are willing to take a paycut to say 75% of the initial deal for the sake of more competitive equipment then we will revise the above plans.

Despite being a former Cup champion who absolutely feels he brings $6 million worth of value to the team in terms of marketing and competitiveness, Jarrett isn't completely averse to considering taking a paycut. He is a little insulted that Yates is asking him to take less money when the team (in his opinion) has unnecessarily expanded out to a third full-time, and fourth part-time team, and is fielding some pretty questionable drivers in those cars. However, he is still loyal to the team where he achieved so much success and desperately wants to help turn things around after a very disappointing 2003.

1-50 Accepts a paycut to $4.5 million
51-100 Tells Robert Yates to look at getting rid of one of those other cars he doesn't need
27!

Jarrett accepts the paycut and hopes it will make a difference. This boosts Yates' budget to $4.25 million.

As we are still waiting on what will happen with Yates' cars, Kirk Shelmerdine will have to wait before purchasing a "Yates budgetmobile".

----------

SCORE MOTORSPORTS

SCORE has purchased 1 customer chassis from Penske Racing. They also purchase 1 Ernie Elliot engine supply, and hire one Tier 7 pit crew for the #02.

#02

ULTRA MOTORSPORTS

Aero: 60-85 - 71!
Chassis: 60-85 - 69!
Reliability: 0-30 - 14!

They also purchase 1 Evernham engine supply, and hire one Tier 7 pit crew for the #7.

#7
Speed: 50-80 - 65!
Consistency: 50-80 - 60!
Strategy: 80-95 - 90!

Ultra Motorsports is $30k in debt.

----------

JASPER MOTORSPORTS

Jasper purchases a customer chassis from Chip Ganassi for $600k.

----------

CHIP GANASSI RACING

Ganassi has traded in their two budget Roush-Yates engines for regular versions.

----------

ROUSH RACING

Roush designs a Tier 1 chassis.
Aero: 75-90 - 90!
Chassis: 75-90 - 89!
Reliability: 0-30 - 8!

Roush builds 5 chassis for the #6, #16, #17, #97, and #99. They also build 1 customer chassis for Phoenix Racing.

Aero: 70-90 - 86!
Chassis: 70-90 - 76!
Reliability: 0-30 - 0!

They also purchase 5 Roush-Yates engine supplies, and hire 5 Tier 1 pit crews for the #6, #16, #17, #97, and #99.

#6
Speed: 75-90 - 83!
Consistency: 75-90 - 87!
Strategy: 80-95 - 82!

#16
Speed: 75-90 - 78!
Consistency: 75-90 - 89!
Strategy: 80-95 - 85!

#17
Speed: 75-90 - 88!
Consistency: 75-90 - 84!
Strategy: 80-95 - 95!

#97
Speed: 75-90 - 90!
Consistency: 75-90 - 84!
Strategy: 80-95 - 83!

#99
Speed: 75-90 - 75!
Consistency: 75-90 - 75!
Strategy: 80-95 - 81!

----------

AJ FOYT RACING

Aj Foyt will look at buying a Dodge Engine for 400K, Chassis for 300K, and Pit Crew for 100K.

Okay, what chassis are you buying for $300k? I'm not aware of anyone selling a chassis for that much.

AJ Foyt Racing purchases one Evernham engine supply for $400k and hires 1 Tier 9 pit crew for $100k.

#14
Speed: 45-75 - 57!
Consistency: 45-75 - 67!
Strategy: 80-95 - 83!

----------

BACE MOTORSPORTS

BACE purchases 1 Hendrick customer chassis. BACE is now $80k in debt.

----------

And with that, the first round of chassis RNG is finally over! The following teams still need chassis, engines, and pitcrews:
Dale Earnhardt, Inc.
Robert Yates Racing
MB2 Motorsports
Front Row Motorsports
Shepherd Racing Ventures

The following teams still need a chassis:
AJ Foyt Racing
Kirk Shelmerdine Racing

Please review your purchases on the spreadsheet to make sure I have processed everything correctly.

It looked as if I am only left with 150K, AJ Foyt Racing will buy a 400K Chassis from Petty.
