1. Stroll - To hit a podium the race following first points is one of the best moments humble pie got served to haters. *and for being man enough to join the Ricciardo shoeing club*

2. Alonso - To come from pretty much last to ninth with that useless block in the back is special.

HM - The track, I hated the idea of that opening straight but how many amazing dramatic overtakes took place there?

Ricciardo - Tenth to First after that issue early one was excellent

Magnussen - Superb driving to on merit be running on the podium and only the sheer gulf in pace of the top two teams robbed him of it.

1. Lance Stroll: Picking anyone else for first would be wrong. StrollSensation – the most unexpected result since... I don't even know when. So brilliant especially after all the criticism (much of it unmerited) he has got this season!
2. (shared, 3 points for each) Kevin Magnussen: Fought for a podium for a while.
Fernando Alonso: Points for McLaren is enough for a vote after the nightmare their season has been until today.

1. Real tough one here, maybe Lance Stroll. If he was replaced with di Resta two races ago, no one would've thought about him again.
2. Fernando Alonso, because even if it was a crazy race, it's points at Baku with a Honda engine.

Especially when said Honda powered car had something like a 15mph deficit in qualifying - I think that those two are going to take the top honours today, as I'll go with those nominations too.

1. Stroll. Come on. I always judged him based on his ridiculous crash in Monza F3 a while back. I still held onto that opinion as he came into F1, and I was pretty cocksure that opinion would stay throughout the season. Now though.... he was one of the few who kept their heads straight and clean in the madness. Well done.

2. K-Mag. Almost pulled the Haas to a podium. And had that insane double-overtake at one point in the race. Good going, Kevin!

1: Lance Stroll: No debate. He was so mature out there and although he lost 2nd it shouldn't detract from a stellar weekend

2 Fernando Alonso: He scored points for McLaren. I guess that counts

1st Lance Stroll - Even after his result at Canada, he's probably still the last person I'd have expected to calmly pick his way through the carnage for a very good result. Potentially a very good driver.

2nd Daniel Ricciardo - Excellent and unexpected win.

1 - Lance Stroll - for suddenly living up to all the hype I heaped on him before the season

2 - Shared between Ricciardo, Bottas, Sainz, Alonso for their recovery drives from 17th, 20th, 20th and 20th respectively.

1. Lance Stroll - Way to shut the haters up, kid.
2. NASCAR - For having a 55 lap green flag run to the finish that was so good I wasn't even mad Harvick won pretty easily in the end.

1 Stroll - no mistakes ( although surely could have found a little time somewhere to keep 2nd)
2 K- Mag - no mistakes that I saw

1. Lance Stroll - not bad for a pay driver, eh? ;)
2. Karma - Had Hamilton's head-rest not come loose, there would have been an absolute uproar and a bad taste in many people's mouths as to why only one of those two drivers was penalised. Neither Hamilton nor Vettel deserved to win the race.

1. Lance Stroll - Perhaps I'm slightly biased due to the fact I'm Canadian, but he didn't put a foot wrong all weekend and has made one of the quickest turnarounds in Formula 1 ever.

2. Fernando Alonso - I think this one is pretty obvious. Was in the top 5 for a short time in that crapbox and ended up in the points, pretty much the best he could have done.

So the results are in, and I bet you would never guess who won...

1 Lance Stroll 330
2 Fernando Alonso 139.5

3 WELL DONE BAKU 16
4 Daniel Ricciardo 13.5
5 Kevin Magnussen 12
6 Lawrence Stroll 6
- Pascal Wehrlein 6
- NASCAR 6
- Karma 6
10 Valtteri Bottas 1.5
- Carlos Sainz Jr. 1.5

That's right, it's the StrollSensation himself! Picking up 330 points out of a maximum total of 340 points, he is the clear winner, which gives him two IIDOTRs in a row, as his season turnaround has clearly garnered a lot of support from the forumites here. Fernando Alonso came second, and his first points of the year signal that he still has the tiniest amount of luck on his side. Let's just hope this is also a turnaround for the Spaniard...
